I have a friend who is saving up for his private island by selling items acquired traveling abroad. Being new to Torn I asked, "Can't you just cancel your flight?" when he couldn't show me something he was talking about.
I see there is a parachute item, but it's a booster--not an actual parachute.
There should be a Parachute that allows you to cancel travel. You should lose any items you're carrying and maybe still have limited access to certain features (because you jumped out of an airplane), but you'd be free from "travel jail."
