Good news for PlayStation gamers!
GTA Online (on PS4 & PS5) no longer requires an active PlayStation Plus subscription — but note, this is a limited‑time promotion.
Here are the details:
The promotion was triggered alongside the “Money Fronts” update, and covers both PS4 & PS5 users.
According to reports, the PS Plus‑free access period began around June 17–18, 2025, and is expected to run until July 1, 2025.
Important: You still need to own GTA Online (or own the associated game) — the PS Plus requirement removal does not make it free‑to‑own indefinitely.
Why? It seems the move is aimed at boosting player engagement around the new update and getting lapsed players back into the game.
If you’re a PS gamer who didn’t maintain a PS Plus membership, now’s a solid window to jump back into Los Santos without the subscription barrier.
