So I’m a dad. Sometimes, I don’t feel like the best dad. I’m impatient. I can lose my cool. I work too much and when I am home I’m not as focused as I’d like to be.
I have 5 days off in a row right now and I have decided to take initiative and potty train my little guy (3yrs old). It’s day 3 and I must say, it’s way more difficult than I thought it would be. Every 15 mins every waking hour we have struggled to spend 5 mins on the potty. We’ve gone through countless outfits. Cleaned multiple spots on the carpet, couch, and floor. I’ve been peed on, he’s been peed on, pretty much everything in the house has been peed on….
little man did it….. HE DID IT!!!! We have poop in the potty and it almost brought me to tears. Jumping up and down, hooting all the way to the toilet to dump it out, high fives, hugs.
I am so proud of my little guy.

Day 4 had zero accidents!! The potty breaks are now spaced out to every hour or so and he’s been asking to use the potty when he has to go.
Day 5 just started but he woke up saying “I need to go potty! No potty in my pants!”
