An angel who answered a prayer before it was even spoken. Saved me from wasting hours at the hospital. Thank you so much :D

Come on, kids. We're like a big happy family like those you accidentally used to see on your dad's search history.

Would You Want Immortality? · · 1 like

I believe immortality is the ultimate goal of life itself. All life we know exists, adapts and evolves for one single purpose: keep on living. And regarding humans, since we're life with consciousness, able to be aware of our own condition, perceive and modify the universe around us, we have the means to achieve it faster than natural selection can do it.

Most arguments against immortality come from a position that can only envision life as it is today (a human of working age living on a capitalist society). Being immortal means going through eons of change, it demands a flexible mind capable of adapting to societal changes, unattached to anything but able to love and enjoy every little thing the universe has to offer. If you think about living your life as it is today, with you being exactly the way you are right now, for all eternity, then all you'll see is misery, loss and boredom.
Life changes, the universe changes, being immortal means constantly changing with it too.

have you ever had a paranormal event · · 1 like

My family and I had seen pretty much enough stuff for us to not question the existence of the supernatural. From my dead grandfather giving prophetic advice to my mother through dreams, countless sightings of full body apparitions, to a "ritual war" between my mother and my paternal grandmother that left my house severely haunted.

During that period, my parents, my sister and I had to deal with stuff flying/falling off out nowhere, night terrors, black spectral figures walking through the house, the constant feeling of being watched, mysterious illnesses without any known cause, creepy hallucinations, and some more weird shit and bad luck. It all stopped after my parents divorced and my mother moved out with my sister and I.

After that, my father called a priest to bless the house. We don't know what happened in there, since the guy got inside by himself. But he left visibly shaken and told my father to just sell the house, since it wasn't worth it trying to live there. Needles to say, selling that house hasn't been easy.

DnD Nerds: What's your current character/s? ·

Haven't played DnD for a good long time now, but my last character was a human fighter (hold on, hold on, it gets good) using a subclass from Valda's Spire of Secrets called Brawler and a homebrewed special power from the DMs own campaign.

He was a scrawny dude, ugly as roadkill, covered in scars and stitches, who fought with only his fists, had the power to convert damage taken into dice he could roll for extra damage or self healing, but at the cost of his own memories being slowly taken away every time he used it. He had an Int score of 8, so he was an absolute dumbass. Best character I've ever played.

What are you listening to? ·

Just listening to the best Heavy Metal band ever created, touched by the very real gods of steel, fire and bolognese sauce: Nanowar of Steel.

Anti-AI sentiment growing ·

I personally love the absurdity of what AI means to society. It brought a new industrial revolution. We're living through the uprising of mediocrity. Now everyone too lazy to learn to do anything can ask a computer to make any kind of artistic work for them. If it's good, they claim credit for it, and if it's crap, they can just blame the tool for the failure.

Now no one need to feel bad about their own skills and creativity. Let's all hop onto the delusion train through the mystical lands of bad quality porn and lazy writing.
