Actually gave me a great Mansion and some money on top. Big thanks!

I wasn't even the chain watcher lol. I'm just pointing out that when Torn's own API breaks, blaming everyone except Torn is weird :)
I don't get why you change the way armor, primary, secondary, and melee weapons are sold from Items, it was so much easier and better than the Big Al's interface.
- To see the full list of items, I have to constantly click "Load more items," which is such an outdated practice in modern UI.
- Add filters/categories. To sell an XM8, I have to keep clicking that button to find it because the list is only sorted alphabetically.
- When I click "Sell this item" from Items, it should take me straight to Big Al's sell list with that item already opened/checked, instead of dumping me on the full list to find it all over again.
- Make it possible to click on an item to see its details, just like in Items. Not everybody uses TornTools, I don't on mobile, so I can't see an item's market price when I sell through Big Al's. For example, with a brick: through Items I could click the brick's image and see it's worth $655 on the market, but Big Al's only offers $3. I can't see that through Big Al's, so I have to waste time going into Items or the Market to check the price first.
You moved the goalposts instead of answering. Nobody argued the game can't run without the API. The argument is that when Torn's own system breaks silently, blaming the players and their tools for it is ridiculous. So again, which part is the tool's fault?
(Not trying to be toxic, I love the game and I want the systems that I'm contributing to monthly to actually work.)
I haven't ignored anything, I addressed the core point: the API is Torn's system, it broke, and that's what caused the issue. The rest was about whether players should be blamed for trusting Torn's own infrastructure. I don't think that's unreasonable.
Agree to disagree I guess? 🤷♂️

A silly joke that I thought would look nice on a shirt. Did two versions, one is simplified with shapes, the second one is in game xanax and vicodin.

Ideally a 10* so we could be done quicker.

We're going in circles at this point. You think the API is extra and players should expect it to break. I think when a company builds and maintains a system, there's a basic expectation that it works - and if it doesn't, they should take the blame and fix the problem that it created. We're clearly not going to agree, so I'll leave it there.

Nobody ever said you couldn't. Not once in this entire thread has anyone claimed the game doesn't work without the API. You keep arguing against a point nobody made.
'The answer has been given' - it really hasn't though. I asked which part is the tool's fault and got a McDonalds analogy....

The tool worked fine. It asked Torn's API for data. Torn's API didn't deliver. Which part of that is the tool's fault?
You keep saying 'relying on a third party tool' like the tool was the problem. It was Torn's own API that died. The third party did its job. Torn didn't.
Ye fully down now

You went from lecturing me on API architecture to shouting insults the second I proved you wrong. That logic crumbled fast :(
TornPDA is the 3rd party tool, dingus - yeah, that's literally what I said. Glad you caught up. Now follow the logic one more step: if TornPDA is 3rd party, and the API is Torn's... then Torn's system broke and caused the problem. You just proved my point, bud :)
'API is not a core part of the game' - it's developed by Torn, hosted by Torn, maintained by Torn, and officially supported by Torn. That's not third party, that's just the game served in a different format. You're confusing the API with the apps that use it.
Exactly. You disabled yours. Ours broke. One is a choice, the other is a bug. 🤷♂️
It ain't tech, its a core part of the game that was not working :)
By your logic it's okay if the events/messages notification script stopped working, cause you can use your two eyes and watch the page all the time, right?
W bazaar, great deals!
6 years is what I call real commitment. Hope you’ll spent more time doing the stuff that you want, now that you’ll stop playing this damn addicting game. Good luck with your life outside of torn!
