Just to clarify: my issue is not with what it represent but with how its done. It's too obtrusive and takes all the screen space. Better to have a milder effect, like some rainbow stars around the flag or lets say the same effect but only the top of the page. It's just not tasteful the way it's done from a pure design perspective.
Otherwise to anyone who's part of a minority(sexual,racial,religious etc) : stay strong brothers and sisters. It's not easy to be different and discriminated. Respect.
