GymIQ is a lightweight Torn userscript that reads the four battle stats shown on the gym page and turns them into clear ratio health, specialist gym stat checks, and an always available Train Next recommendation.
Main features
• Baldr, Hank, and custom ratio support.
• Preferred targets of Baldr 100:80:72:72 and Hank 100:80:80:28 maximum.
• Always on Train Next guidance whenever all four stats are available.
• A+ maintenance guidance, so the recommendation does not disappear when your build is balanced.
• Specialist gym stat rule checks with safety margin warnings.
• Persistent weekly gym energy counter.
• Automatic energy reset every Sunday at 18:00 Torn City Time.
• Automatic panel refresh after an observed gym train.
• Fixed period stat history, What If calculator, and plain text export.
• Dark and light themes with a compact responsive Overview.
• No API key required.
How Train Next works
GymIQ first protects specialist gym stat requirements, then handles target deficits and overages. When your build reaches A+, the recommendation remains visible:
• Baldr and Custom: train the selected high stat to begin the next ratio cycle.
• Hank: build a medium stat buffer before raising the high stat, helping protect the opposite combination gym ratio during the next cycle.
If Torn has not loaded all four stats, GymIQ shows unavailable data instead of guessing.
Weekly energy tracker
GymIQ counts energy decreases it observes while the userscript is active on Torn's gym page. The total persists across reloads and resets automatically every Sunday at 18:00 TCT. A confirmation protected manual reset is available in Settings.
The tracker is observational: it cannot reconstruct energy spent before installation, while inactive, or away from the gym page.
Important specialist gym note
GymIQ checks Torn's published battlestat ratio rules only. It cannot detect whether you unlocked the prerequisite gym or purchased the specialist gym membership. An Eligible result means your stats pass the rule; it does not confirm actual access.
Privacy and compatibility
• Settings, history, and energy totals are stored locally in userscript or browser storage.
• GymIQ does not send your stat data to an external service.
Update 5.2.1 should fix this! I was polling the E bar too fast causing an incorrect interaction between GymIQ and Torn. In turn, it was missing page mutations and freezing the weekly E counter. Given there is no real test environment (beyond what I can make myself) and development on torn scripts is literally trial and error, I appreciate everyone's patience and willingness to let me know if there is a bug! This script has grown tremendously from what I was originally intending, and I could not have done it without everyone's input!
Ahhh, I see. I should have just used the wiki to see the all the gyms. I used an article that was clearly wrong or outdated. Ive just taken the tip out. thanks for letting me know!
Hey! I totally get it. Theres not really a way I can tell for sure what gyms you have unlocked. I could add some logic to guess, but for some people it would still be wrong. So, id rather just tell you what gym is the most optimal for what stat.
I did release an update yesterday that had a bug in it! My bad, still a newer dev for sure. The latest version is 4.2.0. just to confirm, you are still having issues with that version?
Hey, you're totally right and that's a fair complaint! the labelling was confusing. v4.0 fixes this. The settings page now shows your actual stat names next to each slot (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th/Dump) and explains what each multiplier means. Should make a lot more sense now!
