Hello everyone, I am recently scrolling through my items when I saw a leash in one of them then I went to the Market and saw dog treats and dog poop valuing at a high price. Sadly, these items has no other use than just being an item or for a prank and honor to be used for merit.
Then it hit me... Wouldn't it be nice if Torn has pets and animals? Like actual pets for each Torn City citizen! You can get them either on the city map as strays, the pound, the adoption center or the pet store! You can get a cat, a dog, a fish, a bird or a reptile even. If you like farm animals like a chicken, a goat or a horse then do so! Pets that you could take care for, feed and love.
Following this, areas like the pet store, pet grooming shops, pound, barn, farm, vet clinic and the zoo becomes available in addition to new crimes such as exotic pets smuggling, underground fighting arena, illegal pet races, horse race (for casino), pet breeding etc. Jobs relating to pets and farming will also be available such as events which includes pet showcases and etc. Having pets when married to a spouse also benefits the partners starting their own family in their property - maybe earning merit or extra honor or profit from all this. Most importantly more things to love and do in Torn City.
Some might not be that centered in doing gym or fighting other player or earning money for gear and drugs but maybe this is what you need, a companion that you can faun over, love and do things with!
I just believe that by adding pets in our city, Torn will be a better place with it citizens having their own friendly companion that represents who they are and what they love... And besides, who doesnt want to have a cool ass tiger or lion as a pet! If you plan to be a gangster in Torn having 3 dobermans of 1 tiger in tow is SOOOOOO BADASS!!!

I've read the posts and their comments regarding the removal of dogs. In my opinion, based on the reactions and incidents the use of pet in the game before solely relied on profit making for most players than genuine care for them (which is understandable as it is one of the cores of the game). There are also mentions of it being buggy and other issues which in my understanding are only secondary to the point factor that it was removed due to usage issues on most players and the negative effect it cased in the game. I dont know if this opinion is correct, however this is what I got from reading. It is sad to see all the other players saying that it is just good at the beginning but just felt tedious and a waste at the end. This reaction is similar to real life were people only adopt amd love their pets at first when they're still cute and the excitement is still there but once that initial stage is gone they just went and feel that its only a burden which saddens me a lot. On a positive note, with this information, I could improve my suggestion and push this passion after taking these events into consideration as I still believe that pets should be welcomed in this community but now with limits and rules to top it off. Thus, Elzeothis (hope I got it right this time) and to the rest of you guys that have commented to my post, I hope you stay tune to my update and thank you 🙇🙇
Oh no, I dont mean when I suggested crimes related to underground fighting arena to be like pokemon battles against peoples dogs its more of a different NPC like Duke running it where you fight his dogs that range in different strengths and battle strategies then be rewarded, later on you could beat that NPC and his top dog and be at the top of it by lvl 100 in that crime. I did not mean to have an option to attack somebody's pet, even I would hate that! Thats cruel! In addition the illegal smuggling will be like during our travels to overseas to buy plushies and flowers we could bust smugglers and smuggle their illegally smuggled dogs to our city then give them a good home through shelters etc. like robinhood style earning reputation or merit. I dont want to hurt anybody's pet in this game, I just want everyone to experience having one.... I'm sorry...
