❌ Lost $20k at the casino (we don't talk about that)
❌ Publicly threatened Liamtolley in global, fresh out of the hospital: "Liamtolley remember my name son, you sent me to hospital today but I will ruin your future"
I have been jailed, hospitalized, destroyed by a Sex Worker, a Drunk Woman, the trash, and the casino. All in one day.
But the community has been amazing. Thank you to everyone who helped me out.

Apologies if this has been suggested before, but would it be possible to add a description box to our profiles? Something that shows up under our character where we could write a bit about ourselves.
I think it'd be great for writing character backstory, promoting your faction, or just giving people some context when they visit your profile. For a text-based game like Torn, it feels like a missed opportunity not having this.
Could be simple - just a text box with maybe a character limit so people don't write essays. Would really add to the RP aspect and make profiles feel more personal.
What do you guys think?

Good morning, afternoon, or evening to all my readers. Today I started returning all the money I received during my first week in this wonderful city.
If you haven't received it yet, please be patient. ANOTHER dirty bomb is about to drop on our heads, and maybe the person in charge of transporting the money decided to keep it and go somewhere less like Chernobyl.
Anyway, I'm about to reach my one-month mark, and I still can't believe I didn't know about this game 10 or 12 years ago.
It seems simple, but it has a magic I wouldn't know how to describe: wars, international travel,
companies, drugs, gambling, betrayals among allies, and a forum with despicable people and their antithesis. Any resemblance to reality is purely coincidental.

Sorry for the visual pain; apparently, besides not knowing how to fight, I also don't know how to use a forum.
After a week of playing, I can clearly say I'm hooked on this game and community. I haven't seen this kind of camaraderie and loyalty in any other game. I can no longer classify things as positive or negative; things are things, and in TornCity, being a junkie turns out to have its advantages. With that said, let's begin my weekly recap.
Since day 4, I haven't tried pickpocketing again;
I'm still scared of the sex workers. I have a large collection of pirated CDs ready for sale soon in my future online store.
I've been training at the gym, shooting up Xanax like a freaking bodybuilder. Now I'm a drug addict, it seems.
I'm getting closer and closer to being able to fly abroad. From what I've heard, I can go to a variety of places (The fact that I have to go all the way to Japan to see my level progress is something I still don't understand..)
I'm still recovering from the radiation. Apparently, 2026 is the year of the atomic bomb. Why did I ever leave the house?
I've learned about chains, combat strategies, and the Baldr's leveling list.

I met the infamous Duke, who apparently limits me to one mission a day so I'll listen to my family in real life.
I played Russian roulette once and won, and I also played poker. There, I saw how much money some people have, and I'm struggling to complete 1,000 spins in roulette without losing all my money.
I'm praying every day at church, and I'm praying even more that i didn't forgotten a single day.
I'm still looking for a good woman who wants to marry me so we can share a beautiful island in the Bahamas and mow the lawn in peace and quiet.
I've lost battles against objectives that are supposed to be level-up objectives, which has made me rethink my character's physical capabilities.
I've finished my math studies; I can finally add 6 + 9.
My first-day bank deposit has paid off; $100 has multiplied into $101, making me $1 richer.
My wonderful faction has provided me with combat armor, so now I'm no longer a loser in a t-shirt; now I'm a loser with protection.
I've changed jobs because at my previous one, they seemed to forget I existed and that I need training.So, just like in real life, they got me a job at my parents' company.
And I could go on and on, but I don't want to bore you to death with this long text.
When I go to your profile, I don't see any banner or profile description, I only see your profile picture, badges, competition status and basic information.

Who you calling autistic here l. I'm just a new player who just discovered this amazing game in 2026 and I'm sharing my experience on the forum despite all the warnings not to do so lol.
✅ Started my new job as a cleaner, working my way up from the bottom
✅ Made a donation to someone who believed in me
✅ Got 2 merits from the church, apparently God is also on my side. Started praying daily, can't hurt at this point
✅ Opened my first ever stock market investment. Pointless by name, not by nature.
✅ Hit number 25 on roulette and won big. The casino giveth and the casino taketh away. Today it gaveth.
✅ My bootleg movie collection is growing nicely. Just acquired "The Ham Slicer", a very special addition to the collection. Based on an erotic novel. The cinema dream is alive
✅ My skimmers are still out there quietly collecting card data. I have no idea what I'm going to do with this amount of data but I'm sure it will come in handy someday
✅ WON MY FIRST EVER FIGHT! Kimib attacked me thinking I was easy prey. Victory Note: I still can't pickpocket a drunk woman but apparently I can win a gunfight
❌ Made a series of purchases that I later realized were terrible investments. We don't talk about those
❌ Attempted a few crimes today. My character appears to be either completely useless or missing a hand. Cannot confirm which. Just failures.

❌ A mysterious parcel has appeared in my inventory. I have no idea who sent it or what's inside. Currently debating whether to open it or raffle it off to the community
❌ Someone pulled a Christmas Cracker with me and left me with a crummy bit of shiny paper. My happiness decreased by 12. This is fine. Everything is fine.
❌ Ipecac Syrup. Despite not tasting particularly bad, I would not recommend it.
❌ IThis is supposed to be a casual long term game that you check in on once or twice a day. I have somehow managed to spend 8 hours on it today. Please send help.
Finally, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who offered me a job or invited me to their faction. My choices were nothing personal at all. I plan to be here for a very long time and anyone who wants to build a good relationship is more than welcome. Torn City was born in the "Neutral Ground" between Louisiana and Texas in the 19th century, essentially a lawless territory where criminals, smugglers and prostitutes roamed freely. When Prohibition arrived it became a paradise for illegal alcohol and its population exploded.
When Prohibition ended the city filled up with drugs, weapons and gambling. The chaos was so extreme that the US Congress decided to expel it from the Union during the Cold War, essentially amputating it from the country to forget about the problem entirely.
With no government or police, the Mafia tried to take control but failed. The turning point was the massacre of 12 children in the street, which triggered a citizen rebellion that ended with mob leaders being executed publicly.
With democracy impossible, citizens organized themselves into Factions, hybrids between cooperatives and criminal enterprises. They formed "The Council" but the most powerful factions began abusing their position.
An unknown figure appeared and became the de facto leader of the city. He legalized scamming, created STAFF as a security force and minted the Torn City Dollar. He essentially governs alone without an official title while appointing presidents and mayors who usually end up assassinated.
I have decided to pivot my career entirely. I am currently focused on bootlegging movies and my long term goal is to open my own cinema in Torn City. The Sex Worker trauma is real but it has given me a new purpose in life. On a more positive note, I have just started my new job cleaning the dirtiest parts of my company. Slowly but surely working my way up. Stay tuned for updates.
After careful consideration and the trauma of my first day, I have decided to leave my life of crime behind.
No more pickpocketing drunk women. No more getting destroyed by Sex Workers. No more getting jailed by the trash.
I am a changed man.

✅ Got a job lined up thanks to a recruiter who reached out before I was even famous
✅ About to join a faction with some of the most experienced players in the game
✅ Received enough drugs from the community to open my own pharmacy

✅ Thanks to the generosity of this community I was able to access the Stock Marke

I don't think I'll be doing this every day, but these two days have genuinely made me laugh more than I expected. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the support, the kindness and the chaos. This community is something else.
