Torn Atlas — Your All-in-One Toolkit

Greetings everyone, I'm Skiffy, and I made (vibecoded) this app.

Yes, I'm honest about it, and I'll say it up front: this was built with the help of Claude (Sonnet and Opus). If that's a deal-breaker for you, no hard feelings — feel free to click off here. But if you're curious, give it a read. Every feature here exists because I actually needed it myself, and it's been tested against my own account, day after day, before I ever showed it to anyone else.

Why Was It Created?

Like a lot of you, I used to track everything by hand — a spreadsheet for flipping profits, a half-remembered mental model of which country's stock was worth flying for, tabs open for crime outcomes I could never quite recall. It worked, technically, but it was slow, it was error-prone, and it meant I was making decisions on intuition half the time.

Torn Atlas started as a way to stop doing that. Instead of guessing whether a trip abroad was actually worth it, I wanted real numbers — live stock, real flight times, my actual travel method — doing the math for me. Instead of a spreadsheet I had to update by hand, or I wanted a ledger that filled itself in. That personal tool grew into what's now a full dashboard, and I'm opening it up to faction friends because if it's useful to me, it's probably useful to you too.

A note on other tools

I also want to be upfront about something else: travel planners and profit trackers already exist in this community, and I didn't build Torn Atlas to compete with or take anything away from the people who made them. This wasn't made with the intention of hurting anyone's reputation or standing — that's genuinely not the goal here. I built this because I wanted my own version, shaped around how I personally play and what I personally wanted to see, and because building it myself meant I could keep full control over privacy (will be mentioned below) and add exactly the features I was missing, all in one place. If you already use and like another tool, that's great — use what works for you. This is just another option, not a replacement for anyone's work.

What Is Its Intended Purpose?

Torn Atlas is a companion dashboard for your Torn account, built around these things:

  • Travel planner — a day-planner that scores every destination by real profit-per-hour, using live abroad stock levels based on the YATA database (not guesswork), your actual travel method, and a restock/depletion predictor built from real observed history. It tells you not just what's profitable right now, but what's worth flying toward even if it's out of stock this second, because it'll likely be back by the time you land. Trips log themselves automatically from your account sync, and you can flag what you bought so your profit history builds itself.

Image 1 - Suggested buys depending on your current location and travel time- filtered to your needs and pockets.

Image 2- The Trip planner - Predicted stocks, predictions, timers, profits. All in one place.

Image 3 - The travel log. A semi-automatic system tracking your travels, time spent in air, time abroad. The only manual imput being the items you bought.

  • Flipping ledger — log your item flips (buy/sell trades) and get real analytics back: realized profit per item, properly matched buy-to-sell so a partial sell-off is still priced correctly, and reports sorted by what's actually made you money.

Image 4 and 5 (below)- Flipping Log. Track your buys and sales in one area, and check the market value in one spot.

  • Jump — a jump-timing calculator. Tells you exactly when to start stacking Xanax so it lines up with your eDVDs and Ecstasy for a max-happiness jump, based on your job star level, current job points, eDVD stock, and live cooldowns. Might be useful for some early-game players working in the erotics business.

Image 6- Happy Jump Planning

  • Stats — trend charts built from your own synced history: battle stats, net worth, and more over time, so you can actually see the shape of your progress instead of just the current number. I'm fully aware a stats pages exists in TORN. This is just a simplified version.

Image 7 - Preview of the stats page and what's on it.

  • Education — tracks your course progress against the full course reference, so you always know what's next and how far you are from it and also calculate a plan for what you want to do, and see how long it will take.

Image 8- The Study Path Planner. Add any studies you want either for the work stats, or the bonus it provides, see how long it will take.

  • Crimes — a genuinely complete crime reference: real skill/reputation requirements and outcome breakdowns per crime type, sourced from the community since Torn's own API doesn't expose this data, shown with Torn's own actual icons so it looks and feels native.

Image 9 - Example of the search for cash unique outcomes, listed with the conditions, built thanks to torn.report.

  • Market — item price lookup: Torn's live average side by side with a longer tracked average, plus real price history, so you can tell a genuine trend from a one-moment fluctuation.

Image 10- Example of a mrket listing, add to favorites and track the prices of items in one area. Yes torn's item market does this, this is mainly just a UI of the information gathered for the travel planner etc.

  • Finance — stock market tools: a swing scanner that flags possible dips/peaks by comparing 24h momentum against a full 7-day range and an investment ROI calculator that prices every stock's dividend payout as an annualized return, ranked right alongside anything else you're weighing it against — bank CDs, Cayman, property rentals, whatever you'd otherwise be comparing by hand.

API Key Information

I know handing over an API key is not something to take lightly, so here's exactly how this works:

Torn Atlas is actually two pieces. A small browser extension holds your API key and talks to Torn's own official API directly from your browser — it never sends that key anywhere else, including to this site. The site itself is just the dashboard: it asks the extension (already sitting in your browser) for your latest synced results and renders them. That's the only thing that ever reaches the server, and only for the moment it takes to build the page you're looking at — nothing personal is ever written to a database, logged, or kept around afterward.

Only Limited Access is required. You never need to hand over a Full Access key for anything this app does. The extension's code is short enough to read yourself in a few minutes if you want to confirm all of this firsthand — I'd rather you check than just take my word for it.

Full details are on the site's own Terms & data policy page, and there's a step-by-step install guide on the Get Started page.

Getting Started

Torn Atlas is currently in v0.9 beta — Torn Atlas. I'll be testing it more heavily this week, so expect things to keep moving. Install takes about two minutes: grab the extension, save it internally, drop in a Limited Access key into the extention, and your dashboard fills in automatically.

User feedback is much appreciated after this test launch — bug reports, "this number looks wrong" callouts, anything. Thanks for reading, and I hope it saves you as much time as it's saved me.

P.S A Note on Mobile Usage

Torn Atlas is built for desktop right now, and that's not just a layout choice. Every bit of your personal data — stats, travel, flipping trades — comes from a browser extension, and standard mobile browsers (Chrome on Android, Safari/Chrome on iOS) don't support the kind of extension this relies on. So on a phone, the site can technically load, but the parts that actually need your account data have nothing to sync from. Until that's solved, this is a PC tool.

That said — a mobile version is genuinely possible. It wouldn't need to be a full app-store app; a mobile-friendly version that holds your key in your phone's own browser and syncs directly, no extension required, could reuse most of what's already built. Whether it's worth building depends on whether people actually want it. If there's real interest once this beta settles, and the feedback points that way, it's something I'd genuinely consider next. For now: consider this a desktop tool, and let me know if a mobile version would actually change whether you'd use this.

Thank you,
Skiffy
