I give up. I didn’t mean anything bad - just wanted to brighten a few people’s evening

...and see people under the influence of all sorts of substances.

One drunk guy tries to mug me, then goes off to rob a candy shop.
Another starts rambling about some kind of entertainment and ‘great deals’ on tapes.
Probably high on something too...
When war comes, though, it’s different… pills and powders bring everyone together.

Anyway…

Let me tell you what happened to me recently.

"On my way back from Mexico, I was approached on the plane by some guy speaking a language I didn’t understand. Before I knew it, he was pushing small packets into my hand.
I checked my suitcase - aside from a few claymores, I still had some space, so I took four of them".

I wasn’t about to try it myself, so I found a few ‘volunteers’. The results were… interesting:

Patient #1: some random guy - had a great time. Right after taking it, he started tearing through people in the streets with a twisted grin. Not gonna lie, it was entertaining to watch

Effects & Cooldown

• + 1000 Energy
• + 8% to all Battle Stats
• Cooldown 420-600 minutes
• 50 addiction points

Patient #2: not as experienced, I guess. We had to drop him off at the hospital — he looked terrible.

Overdose Effects

• - 100% Energy, Nerve & Happy
• Hospital: 7200 minutes / 3000 minutes (no rev.)
• Increased cooldown & addiction (~24-28 hours)
• 150 Addiction Points

Duke: keeps brushing me off, saying he’s busy with some “missions”. Weird guy. I’ll let you know if he ever replies. He also mentioned that if you use 66 of those, you might get a reward :)

A friend of mine: he’s taken everything there is to take. Doesn’t even get high anymore - he says he just “samples experiences”.

His verdict? “Man… that might be heroin.”

Crazy, right? Makes you wonder… what if this spreads? Shows up on the black market or something?
Can you imagine? Someone takes it during a war and shines in glory…
While someone else ends up like trash on the street.

Makes you think - what would something like that even be worth? $10M or more?

Anyway, that’s all. Just wanted to share what happened.
Torn still holds plenty of mysteries for me :)
