I don't think racism has gone up or people are more homophobic than before. Folks just get sick of the constant exposure to stuff they don't want to be exposed to. (Take a guess what a bunch of half-naked hedonists doing unspeakable stuff in a public street looks like to the average conservative..)
I don't personally give a shit cause I don't much leave my cozy dark basement anyway, but I'm hearing more and more complaints about how they've gone too far in 'perverting everything', are doing nothing but 'performative virtue signaling' or 'causing more harm than good to the minority communities they pretend to represent'.
So yea.. Feels more like people are getting sick of the LGBT activists themselves and starting to push back against those than actually becoming racist or homophobic.. but the non-activist honest minorities and their rights get caught in the crossfire of the pushback and fewer people will intervene to stop the actual racists and homophobes because they themselves are fed up with the activists.
ergo, it's a bunch of drama & a shitshow caused by excessive activism which ends up doing more harm than good for the cause they represent.
> "Kansas teacher arrested for clapping" > Is this a joke, Is Kansas a joke? Or is there any actual reason for the arrest lol?
---
It's a real news story, but the headline is a bit misleading.
The teacher, Lux Claridge, wasn't arrested simply because clapping is illegal in Kansas. The arrest happened during a contentious city commission meeting in Emporia, Kansas, about a proposed AI data center. At the start of the meeting, commissioners repeatedly warned the audience not to clap, snap, or otherwise react during public comments because they considered it disruptive.
According to reports:
Claridge applauded after speakers opposed the data center.
Officials gave warnings that further clapping would lead to removal.
Claridge continued clapping.
Police moved to remove him.
He refused to leave voluntarily, telling officers to drag him out.
---
So it's not the police but the Kansas officials that are the butt of this joke I guess? Though ignoring the established rules, refusing to stop violating said rules and then forcing officers to use force also makes the clapping guy a clown.
Since when is hating ppl a crime? So long as I don't try to do smt about it I should be free to hate on anyone and everyone for any stupid reason, at least as long as I'm in a country with free speech. If hating ppl were criminal couldn't your Trump just throw all of the folks hating on him in jail for the crime of hating him...?
You don't fight a religion with military force. It just doesn't work unless you're willing to commit to a full-on genocide but that's what you already suggested in point 4 I guess.
A two-state solution.. that usually goes paired with the saying "From the river to the sea". The river is the Jordan. All of Israel lies between the Jordan and the sea. No realistic two-state solution was ever possible, besides Israel already tried this by giving them Gaza and pulling everything of theirs out of there - look how well that worked out. Can't see them wanting to repeat that experiment again.
Occupation is both expensive and ultimately pointless unless you're going to forcibly convert the entire populace with the occupying forces - smt that wouldn't really work either - you can't force someone to actually believe in what you want them to, they'll just pretend to comply at best or fight you to the death at worst.
Heck you'd have a better chance of success just sending a bunch of cult-leadery types to go start variations on their faith and get them to hate each other for their faith variations so they're too busy killing each other to remember you even exist... sounds like smt they might already be doing tho.
Push comes to shove - what's even really the difference between "a government" and "the largest protection racket in the area" anyway?
