Torn Contest Room — Your New Source of Income?

I’m officially launching Torn Contest Room, a new platform where Torn players can enter stat-based contests, follow live standings and compete for item-funded prize pots.

Participants do not need to add an API key.

Our first contests start on Thursday, July 30, and run until Wednesday, August 5:

  • Most Xanax Taken

  • Most Attacks Won

  • Most Trips to Mexico

We also have a month-long contest running from Saturday, August 1, through Monday, August 31, with a potential prize pot of 4.3b:

  • Most People Busted

Each contest is available in both an Open Class and a New Player Class, giving newer players a fairer contest against players at a similar stage.

WIN A HUGE AMOUNT OF XANAX! (Bet on winner and Biggest bet bonus) · · 5 likes

WIN A HUGE AMOUNT OF XANAX!

We’ve just launched a longer competition where you’ll have the chance to turn your bet into a serious pile of Xanax.

The pot is currently 3.85 Xanax but it will grow as more gamblers and players arrive.

We’ve found a group of players who actively sell losses, and the question is simple:

Who do you think will lose the most attacks during the two competition weeks?

Pick the player you believe will grind the hardest, place your bet, and let the odds decide how much you can win.

Professional Losers League (PLL) - Look at the competition and bet

HOW MUCH CAN YOU WIN?

Your payout is based on the odds:

Bet × Odds = Total Payout

For example, if you bet 100 Xanax at 4.00 odds, you’ll receive 400 Xanax if your pick wins.👀

That means 300 Xanax profit + your original 100 Xanax back.

BIGGEST BET BONUS

We’re also adding a special bonus for the biggest gambler.

To enter, simply place your bet and then leave a comment in this thread with who you bet on and how much you bet. We’ll verify the bet on our side.

When betting closes on August 25, the player with the single largest verified bet will receive the entire rake from the competition added to their Hidden Room wallet to use on future bets.

If multiple players are tied for the largest bet, the rake will be split equally between them.

The rake is 2% of every bet placed during the whole competition.

And that’s not all — if there is one unique winner of the Biggest Bet Bonus, I’ll personally throw in 10 extra Xanax on top.

Example:

Let’s say a total of 2,000 Xanax is bet during the competition.

That means the total rake would be:

2,000 × 2% = 40 Xanax

If you placed the single biggest bet of 12 Xanax, you would receive the full 40 Xanax rake in your Hidden Room wallet.

And because you were the unique Biggest Bet winner, I’d also add another 10 Xanax personally.

Now let’s say the player you bet those 12 Xanax on actually wins, and you got them at 4.00 odds:

12 × 4.00 = 48 Xanax payout

So in total you would receive:

48 Xanax betting payout
+ 40 Xanax rake bonus
+ 10 Xanax from Hidden
= 98 Xanax total 👀

Not bad for a 12 Xanax bet.

Place your bet in Professional Losers League (PLL)

HELP US FIND MORE LOSS SELLERS AND GAMBLERS

We want as many active competitors as possible, so we need our gamblers to help us scout.

Know someone who actively sells losses?

Send them our way!

The more loss sellers we find, the bigger the field, the more interesting the odds — and the more fun this becomes.

Pick your grinder. Bet your Xanax. Win a mountain of Xanax.

Cheers

100 Days Old Competition Week, Groups 1 to 5

Which of Torn’s newest active players will come out on top this week?

We have created five betting markets featuring evenly matched players who have recently reached 100 days of account age. Each player has been placed into one of five groups, and every group has its own separate market.

You can view the groups and place your bets here:

Group 1: [Market link]
Group 2: [Market link]
Group 3: [Market link]
Group 4: [Market link]
Group 5: [Market link]

How the markets are settled

Each market contains the players listed in its table.

Players record their attacks between the start and end dates shown on the market page. Results are tracked throughout the competition using Torn’s API, specifically the personal stat “Attacks won.” It's the admins API-key that are used - not your's as a player or a gambler.

The player with the highest number of attacks won during the competition wins their group. Anyone who placed a bet on that player will receive their share of the payout.

The result and odds will be checked and verified by an admin before the market is settled and winnings are paid.

Betting

Anyone can place a bet. You may bet on yourself, another player in your group, or players in any of the other groups.

You may bet on one player or spread your bets across several players.

Bets are placed using Xanax. Fractional bets are allowed, so you do not need to bet a full Xanax at a time.

Odds move with every bet and are calculated as follows:

(Total pot − 2% rake) ÷ Xanax staked on that player

Example:

Two bets are placed on a market:

  • 1 Xanax on Player A
  • 3 Xanax on Player B

The total pot is 4 Xanax. Player A wins the competition.

After the 2% rake:

4 − 2% = 3.92 Xanax

The payout odds for Player A are:

3.92 ÷ 1 = 3.92

The person who bet 1 Xanax on Player A receives a total payout of 3.92 Xanax, including their original stake.

What is The Hidden Room?

The Hidden Room is an independent betting platform for Torn player outcomes. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Torn or its developers.

It was created by me, HiddenEquation. I am still a new player, but I enjoy building things that add something different to the game and its community.

All markets, bets, rules, odds, and results are displayed on the website. Results are verified before payouts are made.

Payouts

Payout requests will be processed within 24 hours of being submitted. Payouts are normally handled between 05:00 and 20:00 Torn Time.

All transfers are completed in-game through Torn.

Giveaway — Win 3 Xanax to bet with

One person who deposits 1 Xanax before Sunday will be randomly selected to receive 3 Xanax to use for betting in The Hidden Room.

To enter, simply comment which player or group you would bet on - and then sign in with a public only API-key and deposit 1 Xanax.

The giveaway winner and result will be announced in this thread on Sunday, August 9, no later than 21:00 Torn Time.

Feel free to like the post as well if you would like to support the project.

Please read the full market information before placing a bet.

Cheating and disqualifications

If a player is reported for cheating, I will review the submitted evidence based on Torn’s official rules.

Torn’s rules apply at all times. There are no separate gameplay rules specifically for this competition.

A player found to have cheated may be disqualified by an admin. The admin’s decision is final and cannot be appealed.

Bets placed on a disqualified player will not be refunded. Instead, the next highest-ranked eligible player will be declared the winner, and the prize pool will be paid to those who bet on that player.

For questions or feedback regarding the competition or its rules, please contact me, Hiddenequation.

Q&A

How did I end up in this group?

I searched for all players who recently reached 100 days, then filtered out those who were too inactive or far ahead of the rest. The goal is to keep each group as balanced as possible so everyone has a fair chance of winning.

Do I get anything if I win the competition?

Yes. Two things:

  1. You’ll advance to the next group, which starts on Monday of Week 35. There, you’ll compete against the players who finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each of the five groups. In that final group, you’ll receive a share of the rake collected from all bets. This applies not only to the winner, but also to the players who finish first, second, and third in all five groups. Half of the total rake will go to the winner of that final group.
  2. If you bet on yourself and win, you get your bet multiplied by the odds when betting closes.
Example: You bet 1 Xanax on yourself, and if the final odds are 10.0 when betting closes, your total payout will be 10 Xanax.

  •

How do I win this competition?

You can attack anyone you want — even inactive level 1 targets, for example. We only count attacks won—not losses.

We use our own Torn API key to record all attacks, not yours.

Do I pay anything to be listed or to receive a payout?

You don’t pay anything to be listed.

If you win the competition you get two things:

Professional Losers League (PLL): Final Results

Seven days, 2,210 lost attacks and a truly impressive amount of dedication to doing the exact opposite of what Torn normally rewards.

The Professional Losers League is officially over — and we have our champion.

A huge congratulations to Kloppixd, who finishes on an outstanding 395 lost attacks and takes first place!

As the winner, Kloppixd will have 10 Xanax deposited into their wallet on The Hidden Room to bet with.

Kloppixd was already in the fight from the beginning with 48 losses on Day 1, moved into third on Day 2, and then simply refused to stop losing (or did he?). A final stretch of 46-78-56 was enough to secure the title.

Behind him, Soranotaka finishes second on 369, with papa123 close behind on 362.

Papa123 deserves a special mention for somehow sitting on exactly 123 losses after Day 2. Sadly, the predicted transformation into papa666 never happened — although 362 losses is still a respectable effort in that direction.

And what a journey it was for JohnFin. Our early betting favourite started with just 1 and 5 losses while being dragged into an unexpected faction war — not exactly ideal when your competition requires you to deliberately lose fights. Once that little inconvenience was out of the way, however, JohnFin went 54-38-65-54-55 and stormed back to finish fourth on 272.

luc3iann also deserves a mention, finishing fifth on 181 losses — including a strong 61-loss final day that proved there was still plenty of losing left in the tank.

We should also remember ContaminatedIce, our spectacular Day 1 leader with 72 losses, who immediately followed that performance with... zero on Day 2.

PLL was never short of surprises.

And finally, a special congratulations — of some sort — to sovereign0 and O_C.

Seven days.

Zero lost attacks.

They somehow managed to lose a competition about losing by never losing at all. That may actually be the most Professional Losers League result possible.

Thank you to everyone who participated, bet and followed along — and especially to all our competitors who spent an entire week working extremely hard to become worse at fighting.

Congratulations again to Kloppixd — the Professional Losers League Champion!

Please, let me know your thoughts!

Cheers,

Could it be that our competition is actually draining the market of contracts? Right now, FFscouter, Nebula, and NMS are all empty at the same time.

I’m not a super experienced slutting player, but I honestly haven’t seen this happen in the past few weeks.

Of course, there are more markets out there — and if you’re taking part in the competition, we totally understand if you’re doing everything you can to find some hidden, unexplored corner of the contract market before everyone else does. 😄

Professional Losers League (PLL): Day 1

The Professional Losers League has officially completed its first day — and apparently, some players are much better at losing than others.

With six days still remaining, ContaminatedIce has taken the early lead with an impressive 72 attacks lost.

Although, calling 72 deliberate losses in a single day impressive probably says more about this competition than it does about anything else.

Just one loss behind sits Soranotaka on 71, meaning our first day has already produced a proper fight for the honour of being Torn City's most successful failure.

And right behind them, papa123 is very much involved on 56, while Kloppixd has quietly collected 48 losses without attracting a single bet so far.

That might be worth remembering.

The next group is already beginning to spread out. DRAGO_DARK sits on 35, followed by luc3iann on 23 and AlWessJess on 22.

Then comes Asadecubo with 10 and Indaybadidai with 7.

After that, things become considerably calmer. shubham3 and JohnFin have managed exactly one loss each, while Gaddan, INUK, CheekiCreepy, sovereign0 and O_C are all still sitting on zero.

Which, under normal circumstances, would probably be considered a good thing.

Not here.

And then, of course, we have the betting and gossip

The market clearly has a very different idea of who will eventually win this thing.

Despite having just one loss after Day 1, JohnFin is currently the betting favourite at odds of 2.64, backed by a sizeable 5 Xanax.

There is, however, a rather good explanation for why JohnFin has so far failed to live up to our gamblers' expectations.

It has come to our attention that JohnFin has been dragged into an unexpected war, and we strongly suspect that his faction may not be especially enthusiastic about watching one of their members spend the week deliberately losing as many attacks as humanly possible.

Apparently, being terrible at fighting is much easier to explain when your faction isn't currently asking you to do the exact opposite.

Whether JohnFin can somehow balance the noble pursuit of PLL glory with the considerably less noble requirement of actually helping his faction remains to be seen — but suddenly those 2.64 odds look a little more interesting.

Papa123 follows at 3.99, while current leader ContaminatedIce sits at 6.59.

Interestingly, shubham3 is also priced at 6.59 despite having only one loss so far, while luc3iann is available at 17.57.

Further down the market things become considerably more adventurous: DRAGO_DARK sits at 87.87, Soranotaka at 131.81, INUK also at 131.81, and Asadecubo currently offers a rather spectacular 263.62.

So after one day, we have a leaderboard saying one thing, a betting market saying something completely different — and the betting favourite apparently being asked by his faction to stop doing the one thing required to win.

Exactly how a proper Professional Losers League should begin.

There are still six full days left, which means nobody is even remotely safe — especially in a competition where suddenly performing worse is the entire strategy.

For now, though, ContaminatedIce has earned the title nobody knew they wanted:

The best loser in the league.

At least for one day.

Please, let me know your thoughts!

Cheers,

Yes, and thank you for asking! It genuinely makes me happy to see people taking an interest in what we’re trying to put together here.

Right now, we’re doing our best to find players who are willing to step up and take on the challenge. We’ll see how it goes, but thankfully there’s still plenty of time before it all begins.

Any tips, ideas, or suggestions for potential prospects would be very much appreciated!

If all 50 players do that?

I doubt that’ll happen — but IF it does, they would all qualify for the final.

We had a Xanxiety competition ending last week with some very active Xanax users in Torn, and it came really close to a tie, but didn’t quite happen.

You can have a look at it here:
https://thehiddenroom.lovable.app/contests/the-xanxiety-games-group-1

Some will miss the start, some will overdose, and so on.

But yes — there could be a tie between two or more players, and we have a system in place for handling the odds and bets if that happens.

The Hidden (Open) Tournament ·

Yes! The player list is already official and is being updated as new players register. We’ve only just started, so there are still relatively few players signed up, but we think it’ll start picking up soon! :-)

You can look at the player list here:

https://thehiddenroom.lovable.app/contests/the-hidden-open-tournament-round-1-group-2

We’ll open the betting a little closer to the start, once we’re confident we have enough players registered.
