Ever wanted to actually reply to a specific message in faction, company, or private chat, instead of retyping "@Name" and hoping people know what you're responding to?
That's the itch this scratches.
Type @ to tag anyone in the chat - names pop up as you type.
What it does
Swipe to reply - swipe any chat message sideways to quote it. The quote sits above your reply with the sender's name (or "You" for your own messages).
@ to tag - type @ in the chat box to tag a member. Names come from that chat only, so faction / company / DM lists never mix, and they're remembered across page refreshes.
Tap the quote to jump - click the quoted part of a reply and it scrolls back to the original, loading older messages if it has to. (Clicking your own reply text does nothing, so you can read/select freely.)
Why you might like it
Works on desktop (Tampermonkey) and mobile (Torn PDA).
No API key. No setup. Install and go.
Free and open source (MIT).
Privacy & rules
Rule-compliant by design. Uses only the chat on the page you're actively viewing, makes no requests to Torn, and sends nothing anywhere.
No API key required or requested. The script never contacts Torn's API, it only reads the chat already on your screen.
Your data stays in your browser. The only thing it saves is the list of names per chat (for @mentions), kept in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Purely assistive. It acts only when you swipe, type @, or tap a quote. No automation, nothing sent on your behalf, nothing running in the background.
Real replies in action - quote a message and respond, just like WhatsApp.
Desktop: install Tampermonkey, then open the link above and hit Install.
Mobile: add it in Torn PDA's userscript manager.
Good to know
Replies are plain text (Torn chat has no native reply feature), so others see a tidy quoted line rather than a fancy card, but everyone can read it fine.
"Jump to original" can only reach messages still loaded in the chat; very old ones that have scrolled far away may be out of range.
Actively maintained - if something breaks, I'll patch it. Feedback, bugs, and ideas all welcome: reply here or drop them on the GreasyFork page.
