First one for me happened when I was 15 y/o and walking home from a friend's house at around 10pm. About halfway between our houses was an incredibly dark section of street, simply not enough streetlamps but during this section I would often stop and look at the sky or just chill for moment and take in the peaceful night. Looking up this night however I caught movement in the sky: an unlit black crescent/half-circle shape moving slowly to the south.
It was about the size of the moon, made no sound or light, and could only be seen because it blocked the stars as it moved and it's silhouette was a slightly different shade of black to the night sky. I say half-circle shape but it was also, "pronged", several ridges made up the uncurved half of the shape. You know how they make those friendship necklaces the break in half unevenly? Kind of like that. I stood still and watched it float, opposite to the clouds, for probably 90 seconds before it moved out of view behind the tree. I tried to reposition and find it again but it was nowhere to be seen. Weird shit.
Where I grew up was about three hours south of where they base the B-2 Spirit stealth bombers out of so it's entirely possible it was one of those. The beef I have with that idea is that for the object I saw to be a B-2 it would have been flying incredibly low to be as large as the moon in the sky and what I saw made no noise or emitted any light. Jets are loud as fuck. They're also required to run with lights on, especially over major population centers. The shape of what I saw was also slightly rounder than a B-2, less triangle-y. Might of been a new piece of tech? This happened over 10 years ago and I check for info on next-gen planes every couple years to see if the air force makes public anything that looks like it. Nothing yet.

Sighting two was around four years ago, I was working a dead-end night shift job cleaning banks and corporate offices. I'd usually have three or four sites to clean a night and I was responsible for transport inbetween so there was a fair bit of driving involved. It was probably around 1 am when I saw this one. I had just left my last site and was driving on what was essentially a service road that ends at a large intersection that turns onto a major thoroughfare that leads to my next site. I approach the intersection and see a light circling over the strip mall parking lot opposite of the 3-way light. My first thought was drone; the parking lot was fairly large and I had seen teens whipping around on mini-motorcycles when I driven by here at this hour before, thought maybe they were filming their antics.
I stop at the red light of intersection. No teens in the parking lot, completely empty. Light is still circling slowly about. Well this is odd. It just hovers in circles for a bit. Helicopter maybe? I roll down my window to see if I can hear rotors. Nada. The light completes a circle and whips across the sky to the northwest. My traffic light turns green, I make my left turn to the north, I'm a little excited that I get to follow it. It's moving very fast and I can only keep up for maybe ten seconds before it disappears behind the northwestern horizon. Weird, what moves in slow circles like that and then can zoom across the entire sky in seconds. I remember sitting and doing some googling and napkin math after I saw this. The horizon is miles away and it spanned the entire sky in under 15 seconds. I suck at math but the answer is, "very fast".
I don't have a convenient answer for this one like a do with the half-circle. I think it's your responsibility to try to provide a logical answer first when you see weird shit before jumping to aliens. However, of the two sightings this is the one I have more difficulty explaining.

I have met a handful of people with close encounters of the seconds kind and it's always interesting to pick these peoples brains. One lady I met at a hostel with regular missing time while driving (she was my bunkmate and had a seizure several days later that I had to give first aid for so safe to say this one is bust). Another was a best-friend who had something happen when she was very young, she clammed up whenever we talked about it and I'm not sure I ever got the full story. Memory of it being late at night and laying on a pallet in the living room, her feet are up on the sliding door glass and something is outside. She later self admitted that it might have been CSA but she's not sure, the memory is too fuzzy but that's an entirely different and horrible thing.
