#1 ~ The Eye of Unholding {painted}
painted in 2021; oil on canvas; may or may not be varnished; small canvas
An eyeball that floats around in space, notably not in spacetime, observing all it sees but holding nothing to allow the particles that make up the objects it so appreciates to exist as free from manipulation as is possible. It’s said that somethingorother is observable different when measured than when left to its own devices. This eye takes that concept to heart and makes a great effort at soaking in the beauty of all it sees without holding onto any form of data that may be gathered from the visage. Is it just a big floating ball of amnesia with no real memories yet tons to appreciate? Yes, and it isn’t ashamed of that fact. Were you to ask it what it has seen within a time period it would be able to answer, telepathically of course, despite holding no active memory of what it has seen. [May 2026]

#2 ~ The Eye of Unholding {digital}

The same eye of unholding, just digitized. I really enjoy high contrast in art and life, as well as, rainbows. I strive to wear as many colors as possible on days where I’m not matching garments or wearing something a little more subtle than usual. Another note, I think autodesk sketch is sort of a vintage app since last I checked you can’t get it on the IOS apps store anymore but I still have it on my phone. I like to imagine it makes my phone worth more money kinda like the flappy bird situation. Anyways, I used my drawing tablet and laptop to make this so that was more of a fun fact this anything relevant. Autodesk sketch is really a great app for casual art though, it’s really the only thing I use. It might not have many advanced options like an adobe product or something but I really enjoy art where it’s very drawn and less processed. The subtle details of something hand drawn are beautiful to me. [May 2026]
So apparently you can edit these so I think I’ll just keep returning to do that so it’s less annoying but I did think it might have been cute to have multiple posts in the thread so that (if a notable number of ppl every cared) the most favored image would be at the top but eh I still kinda think this format is less annoying

Just a painting of a pear. If I were to place it stylistically I guess I’d say it’s modern? Maybe bullshit out an art nouveau… geometric in a way I suppose. I really love the way oil paints blend together seamlessly and am a big fan of a monotones background with some depth. The background here was decided based on which color I had an excess of. Pretty sure I painted some of these in the same day but rewetting your oil paints with oil is a good way to clear a pallet to make room for new colors. Recently found out that I’m pear colored when I started eating pears and they were medium brown instead of green. Thought it was interesting that I’ve never seen someone rep being pear colored and considered naming my daughter Pearï or something. [May 2026]

Has spent a considerable amount of time studying human food stuffs and drugs, as well as, earthly glowing molecules and quantum physics. Their creator is a person who made them out of pure willpower and imagination so earthly things are the base of their knowledge. Whatever else they may have learned from spacetime is their business to share. A notable glowing molecule is Luciferin, I believe it’s purple but that’s without checking. I’ll review my study of glowing molecules and the process of glowing eventually and edit this with some fun facts but it’s been about 8-12 months since I was deeply into my studies soooo… not too much lmao. Another fun fact, a THC molecule is relatively simular to a linalool molecule, aromatic compound found in lavender. Particularly enjoyable to me because THC is my favorite drug and lavendar is my favourite flower. :) [May 2026]

Though Scannie was born in an instant in my mind, this sketch was its introduction into the physical world. Debatable as you could argue that the brain activity that created it was also in the physical world and I suppose its existence within spacetime is realer than this drawing BUT… this is the first depiction of them that can be observed on earth so yea yea yea. 99.9% of the time I start my artwork with a sketch in a sketchbook or on a canvas. For the sketchbook I draw it out in pen or pencil (usually pencil) and then take a picture of it and use that image as the base for the digital art. I love digital art for its lack of limitations but I do prefer physical art because I find it more fun to create and it just feels more real. I think my favorite physical media is oil paints and colored pencils 2ed because I love a nice gradient and seamless transition between colors, as well as, subtle detail. [May 2026]

Painting of an apple. I don’t want to say I used the extra paint from the pear painting… but I used the extra paint from the pear painting. Interesting and potentially ironic how the most iconic depiction of an apple is of one of the worst kinds of apples. Red Delicious is far from it. Just dry as fuck and unimpressive. Not tart enough to be as interesting as a Granny Smith apple nor sweet enough to compare to a Honey Crisp. What’s that one apple that’s kinda soft and a little grainy? You know it kind of melts in your mouth, kind of has the texture of small grained grits? I feel like it’s an orangish one. I *think* it might be Honey Crisp but Honey Crisp usually isn’t talking about shit… I think. I should paint a Honey Crisp one day for the intrigue of the orange vertical lines on the red skin. After a quick google search and jump into images, I think this is a Rome apple if I’m being technical, though it’s a painted apple if I’m being literal. [May 2026]

The color of the red sand is based on the mars material in Growtopia, a great game but I’m far too old to be playing now. The black and white circular shapes are meant to represent the connection between two bonded atoms. I suppose it’s hydrogen because, without googling, I’m pretty sure H2 (two hydrogen molecules) is the most common form of hydrogen. Kind of supposed to resemble the magnetic field that the two atoms would form when they bond, not quite touching yet glued together. I was coming out of a relationship (technically still in it) when I painted this but I think it’s more about my love for chemistry than my love for that man… ok you didn’t ask but I’m just happy to report that I still talk to him and it seems like we do still love eachother so perhaps both meanings are valid. Furthermore, the circle at the top is meant to reflect my iconic baby fro. I have 4c hair, the tightest coiled hair there is, and I love my coils to bits and pieces. I have locs now but before that it was baby fro every day bcuz of shrinkage when I wasn’t wearing braids which is maybe once a year on average but honestly far less nowadays. Torn fun fact, there’s a pick in this game! It’s called an afro comb but that’s neither here nor there. Also, the outline of the mars imagery is meant to be my head shape which kind of helps you see the afro. The exaggeration at the top was just to add some intrigue. As far as the trees and green background. I think I did the background because I find green and red to be offensive when put next to eachother and I wanted this painting to have a striking effect. Everything that’s nice to look at doesn’t need to be nice to look at you know? That and the lime/highlighter green of the background is meant to be sort of offensive. Dead trees might have something to do with Growtopia but I don’t think they have a singe dead tree asset so it may be from some other game or maybe just to express how lifeless Mars is while still expressing hope that there may be some form of life up there. Okay wait I’ve just remembered, this painting is a little bit about my depression, just meant to express the sort of emptiness I feel as a result of it. Devoid of life yet full of a certain kind of energy and fun. A little sickening at times but beyond bearable overall. [May 2026]

Painting of a teabag and my opportunity to explain my collection of tea bag paintings, as well as, the little logo in the corner of some of these. So my first “official” collection of paintings were made before I went to college and now I am realizing they were made in 2021 and not 2023 so I’ll have to go back and change the text under some but ANYWAYS. I wanted to use this concept of filling a receptacle with various artistic images. I knew I was going to do space, the Eye of Unholding, this one painting of a DNA strand type thing that I hallucinated after I smoked (THC, not laced I wasn’t even crazy high) and the desert. I decided to do tea bags becasue I love tea and it’s the first letter of my name. My brand is RVS which is rainbows, vibes, and saddness in that order. Gotta have your priorities straight right. But TAIS is my logo for a reason too personal to tell torn. Nothing depressing but I value my privacy a bit more to just share that reason willy nillidly. Apparently I made 10 teabag paintings but I only have pictures of 8 and I cannot for the life of me remember what the other 2 were. Maybe I didn’t finish them? Idk. I know I have record of all the relevant ones and I lost a good amount (like 95% of them) of my paintings in general to a family reunion where I was going to try and sell them but someone picked them up and took them home but hey, the ultimate goals was to let family have them so there’s no loss. So basically, when I started my account {prbly less than a month ago maybe longer} I saw the stats page and was like hmm I want to do a build I don’t normally go for. Usually I’d go for a tank because I like to generally be able to last long in conflicts as opposed to a build that’s more focused on ending the fight as quickly as possible with a win. So my go~to build is defense first priority, strength 2ed first, speed 3rd and dexterity disregarded bcuz I’m a tank like yea go crazy hit me a lot. Soak up hits, smack heavy, could care less if I hit often and being dodgy is literally the opposite of the goal.
This time around I decided to go for an untouchable type of build. Lasting long in a fight because I cant be hit instead of because I can take a bunch of hits. The idea of someone just missing every shot they take at me is entertaining and satisfying in a way like “haha yes you could one shot me if you could hit me”. My method of achieving this is dexterity tip~top priority 1st, speed 2ed bcuz landing a hit is nice, strength 3rd bcuz it’d be nice to win, defense 4th and nearly irrelevant because who needs defense when you can’t hit me. I felt like I’d save a lot of gym time disregarding defense for dex bcuz it’s like I only have 3 stats instead of one right so less places to allocate the same amount of energy = higher overall relevant stats. In practice it’s been… pretty good I’ll say 8/10 bcuz it’s comforting to feel like I have a lot of time to land an attack and satisfying to land them more often bcuz of speed investments. Also ending a fight untouched is always fun. As far as effectiveness, I’m not exactly beating ppl double my level because I’m still mostly grinding out dex and spd so my hits are like throwing feathers and I’m prone to being one shotted but I think I have 6 good levels of range 7 if I stretch.
What does this have to do with being a faerie? I imagined my player as being similar to fighting a delicate fairy that’s constantly moving and flying around so they’re hard to hit, they’re hitting you a lot bcuz speedy and flying around so they could smack you before you’ve registered them moving, ultimate goal is to be relevantly strong since this fairy is living in a crime city so it’s like this fast flying being is really making you go “fucking ouch” every few seconds as they dash around you. Also, I think a fairy being surprisingly strong kinda adds to the vibe bcuz fairies tend to have one defining characteristic that makes them stand out aside from the default things you’d expect from a fairy {gentle, cute, quick}. Also also, yes this is how I cope for being weak, super dainty so if you can manage to hit them they’re down in like 2-3 shots,, but you have to work to make those hits!
As far as my current stats I’ll start with the ratio I’ve settled on after a little monologue. I started just dumping everything into dex bcuz I kept feeling like investing in anything else was pointless I just need to be untouchable. Then I noticed I was missing a lot of hits so I got enough spd to start landing hits, after that I invested in strength bcuz I was like well this number is ridiculously low at this point and then I started putting the subtlest whisper of energy into defense bcuz I was like yea my health is lowering a bit too quickly. My ratios are dex to spd 1:2, spd to str 1:3, str to def 1:5. If you’re not keeping up, dex is my highest stat.
Stat estimate bcuz I’m too scared of this screen to literally check right right now.
Dexterity •> 3,100
Speed •> 1,550
Strength •> 500
Defense •> 166
I feel like my stats are egregious to someone who is playing Torn normally and/or competently but I’ve spent a lot of money that could have went to enhancers or drugs or properties on flowers, clothes, plushies, and pretty 3D models + a stockpile of computer parts so it’s safe to say I’m in it for fun and to have a nice place to simulate being a criminal faerie computer scientist. ACAB though!

All Im saying is, if your local baskin robins has the beach day and futbol fireworks ice cream flavors… you should try them, they’re really good.
The futbol fireworks has poprocks and ribbons of like… pixie stick powder candy but far more flavorful and a bit more sour in cherry and a blue flavor. The cherry is like… cherry icie type, pretty sure the blue is blue raspberry but I have the memory of a goldfish and that was yesterday. the vanilla is just… vanilla but not strongly flavored so it doesn’t take away from the fruity candies. I really appreciate this one for having a noticeable amount of poprocks, was surprised that they didn’t skimp out.
The beach day is chocolate salted carmel. It’s really cute because there’s plates of salted Carmel something? It’s like a granola texture but of salted Carmel so I assume that’s the sand. There’s also chocolate chunks, like medium large sized that are shaped like Patrick’s from SpongeBob house. The blue just tasted like regular vanilla me for the most part, maybe a hint of some sort of blue type flavor.
I don’t know about that America’s birthday cake flavor bcuz I haven’t seen it at my baskin robins, though if it’s anything like the futbol fireworks and beach day it’s probably exceptional.
Not sure what the little bits of green are about on the beach day but they could be responsible for that mysterious extra bit of flavor I’ve been getting from the scoops.
