Made a site, https://tornchain.org/, to help factions keep their chains going. It is a little more in-depth than most of the tools I've been using, so I wanted to put everything together in one place.
Let me know if anything could be improved, made clearer, or if there are any other features that would be useful.
Warnings when an upcoming attack is a bonus respect breakpoint
Energy checks based on 25 energy per claimed attack
Confirmed faction, watcher and claimant energy totals
Joining and leaving active chain watch
Watcher names, schedules, check-ins, handoffs and coverage gaps
A full hourly watcher calendar
Shared targets with notes, reservations and do-not-attack flags
Ranked War targets with hospital and travel timers
Optional FFScouter estimates using each member's own FFScouter key
Target claiming tied directly to the future attack queue
Faction member status and participation tracking
Detailed chain reports, attack history, watcher attendance and graphs
Mobile support and the ability to install it as a web app
GreasyFork script
Attack claims are handled on the server, so two people cannot claim the same position at the same time. Members can claim multiple future attacks if they have enough confirmed energy, but they cannot be both the attacker and a backup for the same attack.
The site can account for chains up to 10,000,000 hits, although good luck getting there.
I know other tools can do some of these things, but I haven't really found one that puts all of them together in one place.
The site is still new, so if anyone wants to try it with their faction and let me know how it works in actual use, I'd really appreciate it :D
A Limited Access Torn API key is used to verify your identity, faction membership and the information needed for the dashboard. Full Access is not required.
Chain polling adjusts based on the number of faction members who have connected their keys. With only one connected member, an update may take up to around 60 seconds. As more members connect, TornChain rotates between their keys and can update much more frequently, potentially approaching once per second. This spreads the requests between members instead of repeatedly using one person's API allowance.
Design has definitely had a pass with GPT - I'm more backend than frontend but it's a work in progress! That's why I'm asking for feedback to help get things in place and find issues that I haven't seen yet. I do appreciate the feedback and I'll target those areas sometime today to smooth things out.
Which browser are you using? The participation selection definitely works for me. Would like to trouble shoot this. Sort list in which page? Targets? Members? That's also working for me - would like some more info on this if you can!
The reports won't work yet as I have yet to sort that stuff out and it requires a faction API key. I might just disable that for the time being till I can get access to sort that out but it is in the works!
Just on TornChain for now but I can put something together soon to get that working with a script on tamper or similar! If you have notifications enabled on the site, and it open somewhere in the background, it will show you the notifications on the desktop.
I just spent some time working on some little changes here and there, added a page for estimated use of energy and time of chain calculations too.
Let me know how the testing goes, love to improve it where I can!
