I made a script that can highlight specific users like Captain, Vice-Captains, and Push-Leaders in a targeted chatroom (ie. Apex, Touching Grass, Reptilians, etc.).
The idea is that if chat ever gets flooded this is an easy way to identify important messages and people that you should pay attention to.
It all runs locally and is within Torn API/Scripting Compliance. No data is shared or stored.
How to Use:
1. Set the Chatroom you want to target (leaving blank will highlight users in all chats).
2. Enter Public API Key
3. Enter the ID or Player Name in each of the three available categories (no limits to #).
Categories are Captain, Vice-Captains, and Push-Leaders.
4. That's it! Your targeted chatroom will automatically highlight your saved users making identification of important users within the chat much easier.
Simple and clean UI: Desktop friendly tab to open/close settings.
Zero Chat Lag: Built specifically to handle high-velocity Elimination chat rooms on not cause any slow downs or drain your battery on mobile.
Low API Usage: API calls are throttled and cached. The script only calls the Torn API once every 10 minutes to sync roster or event details, saving the response in local storage
Chat processing runs 100% locally: Script uses the MutationObserver to instantly scan the HTML elements and check user IDs against your local saved lists. This process involves zero network requests or API calls.
TornPDA Friendly:
Touch-Friendly Controls
Auto-Recovery: Highlights re-apply automatically whenever you return to TornPDA from another app
This was my first elimination event, I just started a little over 2 months ago and had no idea what I was getting into.
It was pure chaos in the beginning but once we got our Discord and leadership sorted it was a blast.
The thrill of each push before the tick to keep not only ourselves but our allies up was one of the best gaming moments I have had in a long time.
Shoutout to KCB who kept all of us babies motivated and also gave me my first Armalite which I feel I did honest by her getting 166 attacks in during the event.

Debug Information: Windows 19.0.0 Chromium v152 - Google Chrome v152 TornTools version: 9.2.3
I noticed this issue started a few days ago, when I am on a Faction / War page, the FF score text is unreadable, white text over light gray background (except one that has black text.
I have uninstalled re-installed torn tools, as well as disable all my other other scripts by disabling tampermonkey and then restarted chrome for good measure. Same Issue.
I am playing on mobile, don't have access to switch tabs to swap between areas as easily as on PC along with a slower Internet connection.
The intention of the mission is not built with the reality that you're busted out faster than a player can do a normal action. The missions should be modified, removed, or a mechanic to delay a bust for the first 15 seconds you're in jail, similar to landing abroad.
The out of the frying pan mission is frustrating and stupid. Anyone defending it is just being difficult for something that is a no brainer quality of life improvement if they can get around to it
