It's an interesting point to say it only can take. I think I agree with you, but we already have artists who heavily use samples ro make music, with some songs being entirely made using other people's work, but the transformative will of the artist is what give it value. A well trained AI script could make technically impressive songs using samples, but to me that fact that it's essentially a music machine without a will is what makes it not art.
My understanding of it is that the US wants to remove the possibility of Iran building nuclear weapons. An agreement was previously reached under Obama that they wouldn't develop any nuclear technology but Iran had been building nuclear infrastructure while saying it would be used for nuclear energy instead of weapons. Iran doesn't want to stop their nuclear development and they financially support Hezbollah which is largely in opposition with much of the west. So it's a multi-faceted issue and there are probably other reasons as well.
Just to preface all this, I'm no expert in what's going on in Iran or the rest of that region, but I agree that we will likely be at war with Iran. I don't think we will see a 'boots on the ground' war for some time though. With drone technology advancing so quickly thanks to Ukraine it's just cheaper to only risk a few million dollars worth of drones and ordinance instead of hundreds of millions of dollars on trained military personnel and gear. The drones will focus on infrastructure and transportation lines, choking out their ability to supply their own combat forces. This combined with a propaganda campaign to convince the citizens of Iran to overthrow their government will probably mean we won't even really have to set foot in Iran to win.
