So I want to preface this by pointing out how vague some of these articles can be, when it says minor/teenager are we talking 12 or 17?

Theres a world of difference between the two, my view is that everyone, especially older teens should be encouraged and helped to take care or at least advocate for their own health. With appropriate support networks where possible, failing family, Doctors, psychiatrists and/or whatever else is required to determine competency and make their own informed decisions.


It might be the reporting from the Jernos using snippits of emotional statements with little context and no specifics when it comes to age and psychalogical assessments. But I can see some of these hormone treatments being absolutly apropriate among some teens.

There are absolutly situations in which teenagers should recieve medical treatments and medications without their parents consent. Not everybody has supportive parents, I'd imagine plenty of trans kids in the deep south (Mississippi) are straight up in danger when it comes to pregnacy, sex and trans issues. In these cases the minor should be addressed on a case by case basis with medical professionals, without hysteria surrounding the hospitals staff, Doctors and paitents.

What else would they do?

Writing a template for a letter is something any office would do for any treatment. Its just efficient.

Reed claims that doctors would ask questions like 'do you want a dead daughter or an alive son?' to 'bully' children's parents into going ahead with gender transitions - under the pretense that not doing so would make them suicidal.

More context would be a much better setup to this phrase. But im sure putting it on its own with zero context communicates the entire situation accurately to us. /S

Yeah I'm sure the Governor of Missouri cares about trans people and isnt using it as an excuse to punch down for political points in some bullshit moral panic.

Weather or not we can agree on when exactly people can choose to transition. (We probably cant) I cant help but feel the end result of articles and "discussions" like these being spammed everywhere seems to be an excuse to dehumanize people so some can pretend they dont exist.

These situations can make minoraties the target of hystaria, conspiracy, and violence, which is what I would like to avoid.



Just talked to my trans friend, she said she wanted to transition as early as 12 and got knocked back at 16.
Shes now 28 and hates not transitioning when she was younger.

I cant speak for that guy but I care because of the long term effects of the US ignoring climate change is going to be a major factor in how prosperous our planet will be for future generations.

Weather you care most about illegal immigration, wealth disparity, tax rates, education, healthcare, jobs or whatever else. Keeping your coasts above water, along with the people who live there, will keep us earning and learning instead of having to uproot people, leaving them displaced and effectively worse off in every way.

Every issue will become worse if we don't work on this. Yet he tweets crap like climate change is a hoax made up by the Chinese to stop US investments in coal. While still building sea walls at his golf course in Scotland.

That and his response to Covid by claiming its a "Democratic Hoax", immediately making combating a disease (that has so far killed 238k people) a partisan issue, refusing to set a good example by waring a mask for the first month or so, only to catch it, get pumped up on meds, get in his car and do a drive around while infectious for a photo shoot, downplay it further by still holding rallies.

Referring to people crossing the boarder as "not people" and "animals" while separating their children and parents as punishment for doing so, should probably register as needlessly dehumanising and I would argue signaling towards some peoples worst views. Which emboldening crap like "replacement population" conspiracies. ((("You will not replace us")))

So why do I care about this being on the other side of the world? Apart from wanting to reduce the effects of climate change, and generally not liking people being tied up in a bureaucracy that's needlessly cruel. I also see some of the effects reaching over here. Some people I know are letting more and more insane conspiracies flow into their world views, (Some spin on Q anon for example, complete with pivots when confronted to "some vague notion of people in power are often abusers BrO") along with beliefs surrounding Covid being exaggerated or played up for political purposes by those in power somehow.

Granted the internet is a big part in this, though when its peddled by charismatic people in power like politicians, such as Donald, it becomes more mainstream and widely accepted. Normalising dehumanising practices and emboldening the worst of humanity to mistreat people based on race and political leanings or whoever it is they choose to blame.


Letting this guy be president is like giving control of NASA to a flat earther.

Not really an achievement but i had a faction and gave free reign over everything for its members.

 

This included a little over 1 billion in cash, if i remember it correctly.

I never had any issues with this for years, somehow.

 

One day I invited a random noob in, as you do.

She proceeded to act hostile and be a dick to the other members until there were calls for her to leave and I kicked her.

 

I forget the details but at one point she took all the cash out of the vault. The entire one billion, assuming it was lost I gave a token attempt to get it back.

 

I sent her a message explaining that it was for everyone and politely asked for it back.

 

She actually gave it back before quitting.

 

I know this sounds like bullshit and it's kinda my own fault but I'm still fucking shocked I rolled a 6 there.

I was looking at this exact thing a couple months ago.

 

I even saw a payer in the recently active list who's still active now.
