Honestly, this was one of the worst Discord experiences I’ve had in TORN.
I joined because I was interested in selling losses for around $300k–$400k. I saw a $500k loss contract and tried to claim it, only to find out that I needed to set up an additional API key that I had no idea was required. I’m new to the system, and instead of finding people willing to explain how it works, I was left to figure it out myself.
Since I couldn’t claim the contract, I contacted the player who posted it directly which was Lazon [3116319] and asked if they would be interested in buying losses. Instead of simply explaining the process or telling me what I needed to do, they posted a screenshot of my message in the Discord.
That was enough for me.
If a community makes a new player feel stupid for asking a basic question, then publicly posts their message instead of helping them understand the system, I have absolutely no interest in being part of that community.
There are plenty of TORN Discord groups out there. I’d rather take my business somewhere where people actually communicate with new members instead of making them feel unwelcome for not knowing a system they’ve never used before.
My personal experience: save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. 👎
