Hey everyone!
I’m not sure if something similar already exists, but I wanted to share a small userscript I made because it has been making Item Market listings much easier for me.
I tend to sell a lot of the same items, and I got tired of constantly deciding how many to sell, what to keep, and re-entering prices every time.
So I made Torn Smart Seller to remember those decisions and automatically prepare the Item Market listing page for me. (Installation at the end).
What does it do?
Every item can be assigned one of three rules:
- Sell all: Automatically enters your entire available quantity.
- Keep 1: Automatically sells everything except one copy.
- Never sell: Leaves the item out of the sale.
Once you classify an item, Smart Seller remembers your choice locally.
The next time that item appears on the Add Listing page, the script already knows what to do with it.
Unclassified Items
When Smart Seller finds an item it has never seen before, it marks it as Unclassified.
The selector gets a small glow so new items are easy to notice. You also don’t have to search through your entire inventory to find them.
If there are any unclassified items, Smart Seller automatically expands its panel and shows an Unclassified Items section containing:
- Item icon
- Item name
- Available quantity
- Category selector
You can classify them directly from the Smart Seller panel. Once classified, they disappear from the Unclassified section automatically.
Automatic Pricing
Smart Seller can automatically calculate prices using Torn’s displayed RRP. You simply choose a percentage adjustment.
For example:
- 5 → RRP + 5%
- -5 → RRP - 5%
- 0 → exact RRP
So if an item has an RRP of $10,000 and your adjustment is set to 5, Smart Seller will enter: $10,500.
Fixed Prices
You can also assign a Fixed Price to individual items. A fixed price always takes priority over the normal RRP percentage calculation.
For example, if you always want to sell a certain item for exactly $25,000, simply enter: 25000
Smart Seller will then always use that price for that item.
If you remove the fixed price and leave the field blank, the item goes back to using your normal RRP adjustment. Fixed prices can be edited directly from the Item Market list.
Saved Items Manager
Clicking Saved at the top of the Smart Seller panel opens a larger management view. This gives you an easy way to manage everything Smart Seller already knows.
It displays: Name | Category | Fixed Price
There is also a search bar, which is especially useful once you have a lot of saved items. From this screen you can directly change:
- Sell all
- Keep 1
- Never sell
- Fixed prices
So you don’t need to wait for an item to appear in your inventory just to edit its settings.
Auto-Prepare
By default, Smart Seller automatically prepares known items when you open the Add Listing page. That means it fills in the appropriate quantity and price based on your saved settings.
If you prefer, you can disable Auto-prepare known items and use the Apply now button manually instead.
Import / Export
Everything is stored locally through Tampermonkey. Smart Seller does not upload your item settings to an external server.
The panel includes Export All and Import All, allowing you to back up or move your configuration to another browser or computer. The exported data includes things such as:
- Item classifications
- Fixed prices
- RRP percentage adjustment
- Auto-prepare setting
- Smart Seller settings
Just export the JSON, save it somewhere, and import it on the other device.
Installation
Smart Seller is available on Greasy Fork. You will need a userscript manager such as Tampermonkey installed in your browser.
Installation is simple:
- Install Tampermonkey if you don’t already have it.
- Open the Torn Smart Seller page on Greasy Fork.
- Click Install this script.
- Tampermonkey will open the userscript installation page.
- Click Install.
- Go to Torn → Item Market → Add Listing.
Smart Seller should appear automatically. Installing it through Greasy Fork also makes updating to newer versions much easier through Tampermonkey.
Thank you for reading!
I'm open to feedback!
