Am I the only one who keeps misreading 'TORN' as "TOM"?
To take an entirely different direction with the idea, what if the separation was entirely voluntary and the troll had decided to make a copy of themselves to go out and explore the world while their duplicate stayed at home to build a life for the adventurer to eventually return to?
A troll with a solid retirement plan, who was a little risk averse since they wouldn't want to ruin their happy ending by prematurely dying while out having fun.
I played Fallen London for a while, but found too much of the content was locked behind paywalls and needed constant payments to buy items to unlock favorable narrative events and so eventually fell off of it hard.
Looking forwards to playing the board game version of it with friends though.
I've spent a lot of time over the last couple of years helping to organize the distribution of generators to crisis zones around the world, mostly solar and petrol but with a few diesel as well, depending on the local supplies available and specific situations people in need find themselves in.
As an example, Russians in Ukraine target civilian buildings with solar panels on them and supplies of diesel in the cities can be a problem, so petrol generators are favored there.
Given the size of the universe, the probability that we're the only sentient race is too unlikely for there not to be others out there somewhere.
The fact they're also doing everything they can to avoid us so far also proves they're more intelligent than we are as well.
A nice fusion Thai/Italian place would be great for me.
