TL.DR. - Rifty and some of the leaders of the Iron Fist and Iron Myth voted to remove me (formerly Hephaestus) and Hanako (formerly Seiros) from the leadership, then voted to not pay us back our part of the shares.


This one goes back to when the Iron Fist acquired the Iron Myth faction, to be part of their faction family. I was on the other side of the table talking to them about a merger to buy the smaller, secondary faction. Neither of us had the means to buy one ourselves, but together we had enough to buy a 1.3m respect faction and together we had enough leaders to run the both factions. Since we didnt know each-other too well, we agreed to implement a voting system, but we knew didnt even have majority votes. We trusted them to play fair, since they were a big established faction.

That would turn out to be a mistake.

It was going well, we did wars, we made some money with the faction, all the while looking for a bigger faction to invest in together as not the Iron Fist or the Iron Myth, but now the Iron Family. The first wars were failures, and we ended up kicking 30-40% of our members for not contributing during the wars and not meeting chaining requierments, etc. From there on, we had a lean mean fighting machine faction. We started by winning an easy war where the enemy didnt do much.
Now, here's the catch - since the "leaders" (people from both the IF and the IM leadership groups) were the ones that had invested into the faction, they are also the ones that got paid from this. This was how the money was being used to work up towards a bigger faction.
None of the members knew about this, and we, the leaders, were intent on keeping it that way. We told people the money was being used to work towards getting a bigger faction, and technically it was not a lie.

Then, one day, a random mail about a racing league we had was not sent out. That's when the troubles started. I messaged the leader of IF - Rifty about it, and he told me to try and call a meeting (voice chat) to discuss these issues. So I did.

This would be a second mistake.

On the call with us, and very verbal were Rifty, Wayyeewooo and Taskmaster2042.
Also on the call, but not very vocal were SynMatrix, Skeet0r and Chimito.
And Hanako and XiPoWnZX being blamed for multis.
R007 and Regret were not even in the call.

We started off well, talking about our issues, until one of our younger leaders was being called out for using a voice bot. Now, mind you, this was mentioned no-where that voice chats would be mandatory. And she doesnt do voice chats, on principle. That did not go well with the IF leaders. They then quickly turned the meeting from being about the issues we have with communication between leadership, to being about her being a multi. They even had "proof" - a screenshot of their logging bot about one of the leaders changing his name on the Discord to her name. This was considered proof that she was a multi.
We decided to do a vote on everyones position in the leadership, and whether they would stay there. Now, we hadnt had the need to call a vote like this about a leaders position in the faction before, so we first had to agree on a form of voting for leadership positions. Everyone there agreed (verbally) that we would make several votes, firstly on the matter of a leaders work quality, and secondly if the leader can be trusted by others. And also that all votes about the actual positions would require at least a 70% majority, because if there's something we can agree on, it's the fact that when someone messes up, we will make them leave.
Sounds good so far, right?

Wrong

The next day there was a voting bot on the server, and the voting was up, with the following message:

Just clearly going against what was discussed in the meeting. Only one vote, with a 50% margin, to be made to leave the faction leadership.
I was disgusted with these people.

When I confronted Rifty about this, this is what he said:

We were basically guaranteed to be voted off the leadership positions. Not a huge deal, as by this point we didnt want anything to do with the faction anymore.
We were set to be paid back our part of the shares and that would be the end of it.

Guess again.

I had said at the meeting and multiple times after that - if you think that we are breaking game rules, just report us to staff. They did not listen. They just went ahead and started doing staffs work on zero evidence. Or, "evidence" of someone changing their name on the Discord server. We literally did that multiple times during the meeting to disprove that.

Maybe I'm just dreaming, but this was no longer about wether or not we broke game rules. This was clearly about them keeping the share money to themselves. Well, I wouldnt stand for it. I called Rifty out on it:

Knowing full well she doesnt do voice chat, just on principle. And there was nothing to say to him anyway that would dissuade him. I already know they just wont keep their word on anything said in voice chat. Why would I even agree to it?

"Calling all staff! We will be taking over your job of detecting multis and middle-manning accounts" - Rifty, probably.

A few days went by and I asked if Rifty had reported us to get us cleared:

Well, whatever happens now, we are not gonna get in voice chat with them. Not without an actual lawyer present, since they wont keep their word.

We bought the faction together with the Iron Fist. They voted to remove us. Then they voted to keep our share of the money.

Was attacking Pinata with my rage DBK, and noticed that a tail hit was showing a hit for a lot of damage.

 

Added up the numbers, and it seems to be a visual error showing the damage for that whole turn, while the tail hit was instead mitigated.
