ROUND 1 - Don't have a "so shameful I could die" story but I'll try
Gather around young and old alike, it’s time for a story. Sit comfortably and pay attention to this tale of my own mistakes and regrets as I recall long-forgotten memories of a simpler time when I was young and foolish.
It is said that once upon a time there appeared, somewhere in this dark and dangerous city of ill repute, a new ray of sunshine in the form of a freshly arrived new resident of outlandish charm, invisible amongst the ever-growing crowd. That was me. The arrival of this new player in town was of absolutely no consequence whatsoever.
His actions in those first few days, however, were such an horrid spectacle to be witnessed that I beg your forgiveness, dear reader, for subjecting you to such unpleasantness.
For it was, on a otherwise perfectly ordinary day, not too sunny nor too cloudy, while walking down one of the city’s perfectly ordinary streets, that our hero made a wrong turn into a perfectly ordinary back alley with an extraordinary secret. Such a turn of events was not unexpected and was, in fact, very much expected since in those days there were no city maps available, the urban jungle itself being of such a labyrintic nature that it was impossible to map. Normally such a detour would amount to nothing but the gods of luck and fortune that oversee the city were smiling that day and in that moment, a glimpse of red caught the attention of our wandering resident. He had stumbled upon a pair of Boxing Gloves.
Ohhh, what a nice find. I now counted myself amongst the fortunate few. But I didn’t know that back then and unfortunately the gods also have a knack for making fun of the ignorant. Now ask yourself, what should a newbie do when presented with such a valuable item?
So, ourpoor, innocent hero prime suspect used it. That’s right, he used that stat enhancer on his "obviously impressive" stats gained after a few days of fruitful hard work in the gym. He felt like a f***ing tank for a grand total of 15 seconds until he decided to check the market for more useful items such as this one.
The computer screen didn’t survive that search unscathed. For a long time it stood as it was as a monument of shame to honor the adverse circumstances of me being me. But I am now old and a little tiny bit less foolish. As for that statistically unlikely opportunity?It flew away never to be seen again. Until about two years later when it fell back from the sky in the form of a Parachute. All's well that ends well.
