Introducing The Chamber Challenge: JFK's Roulette Royale

We're opening the door to 64 bold contenders, all hungry for some glory and sweet rewards. To lock in your spot you have to step up and challenge a JFK Family member, from JFK Main, JFK 2.1 or JFK Future Killers. JFK members can only be challenged once, so choose wisely! Challenge a member by posting "I challenge MEMBER" Once your challenge is accepted it will be added to the tournament bracket. If you challenge someone who has already been challenged your post will be ignored.


Why enter? Have some fun, win some prizes and some bragging rights.

In The Chamber Challenge, every spin could be your last. If you're feeling brave, now's the time to step up and throw your hat in the ring, challenge a JFK player. There are only 64 spots up for grabs, so what are you waiting for?
  • Challenge Limit: Each participant can only challenge one JFK member.
  • Stakes: Players can play for $1 or any mutually agreed amount.
  • Game Format: Matches consist of the best of three Russian Roulette games.
  • Match Duration: Matches have a 3-day time frame for completion
  • Incomplete Matches: If a match isn't finished within 3 days, the winner will be determined by RNG.
  • Reporting Winners: Victors must report their wins to Karalynn [517092]
  • Prizes: Every JFK member has an assigned prize. Beating them in your challenge earns you that prize. (Armor Cache, Medium Arms Cache, Melee Cache, Small Arms Cache, 10 - Feathery Hotel Coupons, 10 - Drug Packs, 10 - Six-Pack Energy Drinks, 10 (50) Bottles of Moonshine, 10 Lottery Vouchers, 10 - Erotic DVDS, 2 Donator Packs)

Halloween Spooky Torn Short Story Competition


As part of our Halloween fun we are having a Spooky Torn Short Story Competition. Get on your thinking caps and write your best Torn related spooky story.

Guidelines are as follows:
-1 Entry per person posted in this forum
-Must be Torn related
-Must contain a minimum of 30 staff members throughout your story

Have fun and goodluck to you all.


All entries must be submitted by Midnight Torn time on 1st November so that prizes can be handed out in a reasonable amount of time following the end of Halloween.
Please note the Staff member running the thread is not choosing the winners Chedburn has final say in all winners.
All entries must comply with the competition rules and Torn game rules or will be disqualified and not allowed to re-enter.

My suggestion is that some changes are made to the Pink Mac-10 bonus.

Current Emasculate effect: Happiness increased by 15% of maximum upon final hit.

Proposed Emasculate effect: Chance to decrease strength by 20%.

First off this seems like a pretty useless bonus on a 23 billion dollar weapon. Unlike the Gold Plated AK-47 which applies to all opponents, this bonus only applies when you attack with the weapon. Similarly the handbag will use two temporary weapons when you are attacked if it is equipped. The Pink Mac does not have any use when someone attacks you.

My suggestion is that the Emasculate bonus has some sort of similar effect as the Gold Plated AK-47 in an attack. Such as if the bonus hits it decreases the opponents strength by 20%. As the very definition of emasculate is to weaken or deprive of strength. I think something to this effect would be a much more useful bonus and would make the cost of the weapon more acceptable. Otherwise the Pink Mac is basically just another collectable.

Surely some HOF  that you have listed has sent other members of the family to butt into a RW and no doubt in a much larger impact then then 3  players who are what like 2B, and 9B, have in this war.  No one in JFK Main our strongest faction has hit anyone in ODB.  I'm glad JFK is the first to ever do something like this, trend setter status!

Hey friend,  we didn't ask people to do this.  I think if we wanted to do it we could send a lot more then 2/3 people to try? Amazingly the retirement home has somewhere around 450 members.  They tried to break the chain, and didn't not succeed.  Are you saying that this attempt to break the chain changed the entire war?  Have you not seen the pushes both sides have dealt out/fought.   I believe ODB members already said it had no real impact.

 

I have done nothing but give ODB props and compliments then entire war thread and have great conversations with them.  You are acting like JFK has done something crazy, has no one in torn ever done this during a ranked war?  I mean this is untermed, as Qfiffle said both sides could have done a lot more.  I'm not sure why you are so invested in it.  Maybe you need to go outside and breathe some fresh air.  Were all having fun here my friend.  Best of luck on your torn adventures.

I don't think any outside interference has impacted this war, pillow squads, or attempted chain breaks. Others may disagree but I don't think they impacted the pushes at all.

 

Both factions have shown up.

Both factions have shown crazy activity levels. (See the charts somewhere in this thread.)

Both factions have kicked ass, gotten their asses kicked, and kept fighting. (See comments about pushes)

 

I've given plenty of props to ODB and will continue to do so they deserve it.

 

JFK 2.1 deserves it too, we've held off pushes, we've won pushes, we've shown up, and we've surprised people. Proud of what we have done this war but it's not over yet.
