Then I just get a grey background (except some neighboors that are blue or pink or whatever) where items are easier to notice after selecting all of the page (Ctrl + A).
The filter I used for Adblock Plus is "cdn.dev-www.torn.com/images/citymap/release/*png"
As requested, by more than one person, here's how to configure Adblock Plus (*) and then search the city with no map background. Hope it is useful.
Before installing Adblock Plus and using the filter, going to the city map, zooming in twice and moving to the top left corner show this image.
After installing Adblock Plus I go to preferences;
and click the "Add Filter" button and add the filter.
Afterwards, on the city map I zoom in twice and move to the top left corner,
then Ctrl+a and navigate (sometimes blindly) 20 arrows to the right, 2 arrows down, 20 arrows left, 2 down until it ends.
Note the arrows in the first filtered image: the arrow up and arrow left are disabled; the disabled arrows in the last filtered imaged are the arrow down and arrow right.
(*) installing Adblock Plus is not covered in this post. It should be standard if the extension is available to your browser.
