I have been playing Torn with my in game spouse for almost 9 years. We have built, collected, and acquired everything we both have together. We are both older players and the thoughts of one of us passing has crossed my mind a number of times. If something were to happen to me, I would WANT everything I own, properties, items, money, and stocks to go to him since we have together acquired these things. The game now, I'm assuming, is that if someone passes, the person goes inactive and all of their "holdings" just sit there. Some of us older players have a few rare items that I would hate to see just sit in a case that nobody can get to.
Would there be any way of setting up a will of sorts so that if a spouse did pass and there was proof of that, all of the deceased parties belongings would be given or transferred to someone they designate, either a spouse, or a friend in the game, etc? Is this just a dumb idea, an impossible thing to do, or is there a protocol for this already that I'm just not aware of?
It's been years since I've flown to get drugs so I'm wondering if someone can refresh my memory on where to find which drugs in which cities and the current prices. Thanks so much!
I'm not sure if I just can't seem to figure this out or if there is a problem. My husband and I both pay upkeep, whenever either of us thinks about it, so it's usually paid at varying times. I was under the impression that we only paid upkeep once every 24 hours but I show in the history 10 days paid but if I count the dollar amount it's showing paid for 11 days. I am also noticing that I can pay my upkeep at approx 1 am (tc time) and 6 hrs later it's showing I should pay it again. Is this normal or am I just not understanding this all?
Blexi, I am referring to how to use my weapons only, doesn't make much sense to be in a game of "crime" if you can't figure out how to arm the weapons. Everyone says that I need to look for "bold" or highlighted ammo but since they changed TC months back I no longer have anything bolded, dont ask me why but I don't. Everything is too white and grey that things don't show up bolded for me. I don't know what kind of ammo the gun I have equipped takes.
And no, not new to torn, have always had to figure things out but it is a pain when everything that is supposed to help guide you to know what you should be looking at is only showing up in bold letters that doesn't show up for everyone, is a bit frustrating to say the least.
Ok, I am trying not to just turn this into an all out B**** fest but I am beyond frustrated at this point. I get that Torn wants to change with time for whatever reasons they have and that we just have to suck it up and deal with it. That's fine. I have chosen to just cut down/decrease my time and interest in torn as these changes have taken place.
When I joined torn I was in a big faction, I chained, I participated, and I had a lot of fun. I could easily log 8 plus hours a day here. Now I jump on for seconds at a time and all I really do anymore is sign up for my education classes, do a workout, do my crimes, vault my money, and jump off. The only time I am here for any length of time anymore is to chat with the spouse.
I am in a faction now and when needed I war but now with these new changes I am starting to wonder if I will even do that.
Can someone please answer a host of questions for me? As things have changed I have quit reading the forums, quit participating, and now things that may have changed months or even years ago, I know nothing about.
I am grasping here to see if I can find some reason to stay in the game. So here are my questions:
Do we HAVE to now spend hours searching over the dumb map to find items or can we find items by just using the quick links and never using the map?
Do we have a notebook anymore?
Do we have the link anymore that sends us to someone with the staff to ask these sorts of questions of and if so, where the hell is it at?
There is some link in one of the forums that tells us how much each person has donated to the faction, where is the link to this in the game or do we now have to keep a notebook with us to write down such links?
Where is the tutorial that actually explains the different ammo things that have just been activated? The tutorial on the page is completely useless and says nothing about the different types of ammo in the different sizes (not even sure what the mm things are called)
Is there any way to condense our properties or an easier way to sell them than to page through 20 pages of properties looking for the ONE that you want to sell?
How come profile signatures no longer work and how come you can't send photos in emails anymore? What has the code changed to and where is the new tutorial for that now too?
Does Halloween Town and Christmas Town no longer exist?

I'm sure to some like Sweeney Todd up there this may seem like a silly question. I have no children, I have only my mother left in my immediate family. 9 years of my life and time have been invested in this game with my game spouse. Buying each other gifts with money we earned together. It just seems like such a waste to pass away and it all get taken out of my account by ched or staff or whoever so they can sell it and make themselves more powerful instead of it going to someone who actually helped acquire it. As for my RL stuff, those things are already set, it doesn't make sense to pay my attorney a few thousand dollars to add in a paragraph about a game. Just figured it would be something easier to do on the game.
However, that said, I can see what others have said about multi players. I actually never thought of that because I have never thought about using multiple accounts to get ahead in this game. I can see where that would be a problem.
I just threw the idea out there cuz I know everyone see's and views things differently and the feedback on the possibility is very helpful.

I can't always remember the time difference between me and torn time cuz of our daylight savings stuff, I think 00:00 is 5 pm my time, I will do my best to get here at that time
I got a 550 error while trying to send mail to my spouse. I tried to send and the screen just sat there for a minute so I refreshed and tried to send it again and it just sat there, then I was logged off and got the 550 error screen, I have been logged off a couple times in the past 5 mins and keep getting lag and error messages.
I have been getting logged out, getting the "can't be logged in twice", 502, 504 and wrong RFC error codes for a couple of days now but it's progressively gotten worse in the past 24-30 hours. I type up a long email and hit send and I get an error code and lose what I just typed out, trying to bid on things in the auction house and logged off, try to go to my vault, get logged off. The lag has been horrible too, I click a button and nothing happens, I hit it 2 or 3 times and it finally responds. Is this all because of this new territory thing? Is there any kind of ETA as to when it will be fixed? I usually only log on to run things down and jump back off, rarely spend much time in the game unless talking to my husband. It's beyond frustrating that you can't even log on for 5 mins to run things down and jump back off cuz it takes you 30 mins to keep logging back in and getting error codes.
Thanks everyone, I think I am going to have to journal the date and times I check the upkeep each day and when I pay.....when I look at the total history, some of the days are off but if you count them backwards it still shows 10 days but when I add up the amounts, it still comes up to 11 days paid.

Unable to send a msg to my spouse....getting the same message about not sending a blank message.....and it's not even remotely blank......haven't tried to send a msg to anyone else.....
I haven't seen anyone personally that is under a year old whose stats show 4k Xanax, as I stated above, and I will even quote what I said "I have HEARD from a number of older players who have spent years training, spending billions of dollars on drugs, rehab, and refills to get their stats and fighting abilities to where they are (stats over 500 mil and and up) and then goes to attack a 300 day old player and loses".
My question was simply, is that even possible.....

Is anyone else seeing these sorts of things? Have also seen players less than a year old who have used over 4000 xanax....thats like more than 10 a day....I didn't think that was even possible...is it????
