For a game where some players have been playing for 10 years or more, this is a much needed security measure IMHO, something that isn't much of a hassle for both the user and staff.
Would do loads for account security, since there currently is no way to see if you've sent items to someone else. Trades you can see in history, money too (only last 5 but whatever), items, nope.
The bank intrests are currently based on how much total money is stored in Torn in all the banks. They have been dropping steadily for the past 2 years, if you would bank 2b in January 2017 (with a 10 star upgraded bank) for 2 months, you would get 320m intrest, now you’re getting 240m intrest.
This is very detrimental for the players who really have no other safe way to make some money. This hurts those smaller/younger players who want to grow but see their income severely diminished by these measures.
Why not make the bank intrest adjust based on your networth? If you have less than 5b networth you get a better percentage than if you have 20b networth. 300m means a lot more for someone with 5b networth than it does for someone who has 20b. It would help the smaller/younger players, now it’s just making them quit.
Possible counterarguments;
Hide your networth before you use the bank --> this can be countered by basing the intrest on your networth of the past 10 days, or even longer. That way it would at least severely annoy the abusers
