The price history does not correctly represent the actual historical prices for the item "Fine Chisel".
The item was bought/sold for millions for several years, now the price history shows a value of $1-$1000 for the life of the item.
Is this a bug or did they intentionally alter the price history?

I am just trying to figure out what happened here.. I lost about 2B networth overnight.
Just 4 months ago I was selling Fine Chisels for 3-3.5M.. now the price is ~$700.
This was an item I chose to collect many years ago because no more were being added to the game. I sold about 500 over the years.. but still have 500+ in stock.
I get that things change in the game.. but Is it normal for Torn to replace the price history for an item with some compete BS?

Change the Top 10 list to show the net losses and winnings.. rather than total. There has to be a few in the positive eh?

This would be a toggle option to deposit any money that you get directly to your vault (up to available vault size). Another option would be cashiers checks for market/bazaar sales and RR winnings.

There have been ~12,000 of these fine chisels in circulation since 2014. This was a somewhat static number with very few being added to the game. That was the reason I invested in them. On 01 Sept '23, new fine chisels started being introduced into the game. There are currently 37,000+, so I understand why they are now worth about $100.
The price history appears to have been deliberately altered or replaced altogether along with this update.

Hi Ched, this was not a short-term trend. The market price was up over 1M for the past several years. This was consistent and not one-off sales. I had acquired around 1,000 of the chisels and was selling them off. I still have 572 fine chisels, so this price adjustment was a pretty significant hit on my end.

Thank you.. I had to double-check to make sure I wasn't crazy.. but I still have most of my facilities ;)
Will we hear from staff regarding this? Or is it just one of those things.. bend over and take it?

That history if wrong.. period. Even when I was collecting them they were around 20-50K.. and sold them for millions for years.

Nobody.. Yea for sure I screwed up putting 1400 points up at one time.. I tried to get into hospital (even shot myself in RR but mug apparently came a second before). But put that aside, what if it were a 110M coin? Still would be the same situation.
I get you UE.. I totally understand.. brah.. I am not upset over that 9M.. and I am certainly not whining.. I was simply putting out a suggestion for a problem that I see. That is what this forum is for.
Alex I see it as kind of real life as well.. and I use my Amex for everything.. I wouldn't go into Radio Shack.. pay 100$ for something and then rob the place...
You are right Todd.. I don't think mugging should be taken out..
I know my suggestion is not well received.. but the same people that are opposed are the ones mugging or high enough stats to not worry.. so that seems like a skewed representation.
Couple other thoughts..
- 30-60 second delay after money sent to allow money to be put in vault?
- A more immediate signal you are being attacked? (red screen or alert bar "under attack" at top of screen)
Probably lame and whiney ideas.. but as I said.. I see a problem and not sure how.. or if it can even be addressed if at all.
I am not going to win this or change your thoughts on the game.. just wanted to put it out there..
