Since the Wiki is yet to be updated and there’s been some requests, I thought I may as well outline the possible ways of obtaining this merit since the change to the stock system, reducing the number of obtainable personal perks.

Recommendation

- You’d want to focus on getting those educations providing perks - 68 total to get, taking a really long time, so focus on doing these education courses first
- Put one merit on each branch - Total cost 27 merits
- Purchase all 22 enhancers - since sneakers are off market I’ve removed from the list
- Join a 10* company with 4 passive specials - Car Dealership, Gun Shop, Law Firm, Lingerie Store or Meat Warehouse
- Purchase as many passive stocks as possible - Start with the ones that you’ll make use of then go from the cheapest
- Get all 3 perks from TC standard jobs - Revive ability (medical), -10% education time (education), +10% crime success (law)
- Live in max PI - Buy one ($1.6bn-$1.9bn), marry someone who owns one and move in or rent one
- Join faction with as many perks available as possible - Ideally enough to land you 150 perks, minimum requirement is 11 provided you have all other perks
- Reading a book contributes to 1 perk and can only read one at a time - obtainable as a subscriber, found in city or bought with mission credits

EDIT;

It’s worth noting that you will probably make investments you’ll no longer need once you’ve achieved the merit.

- You can reset merits to fill the branches to fit your play style / meet demands
- You can sell stocks you no longer need, although there is a merit for owning ALL stock BB’s at the same time, approx $25bn-$30bn
- You can sell any enhancers you no longer need, maybe even at a profit

UPDATE:

So, I myself was able to acquire the merit a little while ago and mentioned that I’ll explain exactly how I achieved it.

Education - 63 - I competed all education
Enhancers - 19 - I purchased one of every enhancer except sneakers
TC Jobs - 3 - I joined all TC jobs and achieved the passive
Company Passive - 4 - I joined a meat warehouse
Merits - 27 - I put one merit on each skill
Stocks - 11 - I had purchased all stocks except WLT & LOS costing me approx $5b
Property - 4 - I own a maxed out PI
Faction - 18 - I was with NSIV at the time which had 18 active perks
Book - 1 - I was reading the limbo lovers book

Total = 150

Assuming you’d try to use the gym but they kick you out for being a druggie and you can’t use the gym for the duration of the drug effect & CD. Maybe creates a huge spike in addiction that requires rehab after every use

As previously mentioned above. I have 100 revive skill and used to be part of Nuke faction. You can team up with a revive faction and participate during wars providing revives and getting paid for it. Most players like myself spent thousands of E on freevives as most people want the benefit of being fully healed as well and with so many at 100 it would be hard to charge with anything less. I gave up on being a solo reviver as it really doesn’t generate much income that it’s better to spend on training unless dedicating yourself to it as part of a faction. Making hits in RW also generates a decent amount of income compared to reviving as well so it entirely depends on what playstyle you’re going for. My advice would be to really think about it before you commit as it takes a huge chunk of energy to get to 100 that could be spent on training.

Having the level progress hidden has been done purposefully and has always been that way. From what I’ve seen over the years and how many times this has been suggested, the devs want it like that as part of the game. Don’t be so concerned with level, it really doesn’t mean anything, focus more on building battle stats, NW, merits, crimes, general stats etc and other ways to have become more competitive. The devs will likely never implement it.

The idea of an Old School Torn server would be interesting. Would be great to see dogs again

As Christmas approaches, it can be a tough time for a lot of people. I just want to let those out there who’s suffering know that it’s okay. Whatever you’re going through you can drop me an anonymous message and I won’t try to understand or help, but I can just be a person that will hear what you have to say, even if it’s enough to take some burden off yourself just for someone else to hear you than yourself.

Don’t be daft. Mugging is an encouraged aspect of the game also backed and pushed by devs that’s been around since the beginning. It’s not supposed to be a “safe” game. Either find ways around it or find a new game to play.
