What? I do think the 5% fee is a problem but I think the biggest problem is the underlying systems of mugging. Wanting almost any cash that a player gains or spends to move thru our pockets to be muggable causes the small profit margins to not even feel worth it when one mistake costs dozens of sales of profit, and now with a % fee margins will be even smaller and harder to sell.

With players forced to hide in hospital while selling, but unable to adjust inventory or pricing and unable to even look at the market during that time (without a 3rd party tool) it makes selling very annoying and the item market doesn't let us turn all sales on and off like bazaar right? If we want to drop a price or 2 and add something that must be done while you can be buy mugged unless you remove and re-add everything!

At least the fee is only taken when you sell right?

I only tried trading for a short time but every single mistake hits hard.

Also taking imaginary money is always silly.

I forget if I oded while reading that book, but long ago I leveled only str and speed. I was fun having a 75% 1 hit kill rate cuz I either win in a round or loose in a round and losses don't hurt that stat but I had to level up def as it wasn't viable.

Several years later I finally decided to start leveling dex, using that book. I took notes of my gains, but iirc I went from 89k to around a million from just the first training spam. I think I set 5m as the soft point I HAD to get to before any happy attacks hit me so I used FHC and anything else I had to hit it asap cuz I feared those attacks alot. I only told like 2 people I was reading that book, you gotta keep it a secret till the last page.

In the end I think I had over 60 mil dex after that month, I went to the dex strip club to start and went thru a fair bit of cash. That book is the MVP of raising a brand new stat, saved around a week of terrible gain.

Did revives used to cost 75e without any way to reduce it? Big revive factionscan already reduce their e cost so much the money/E has gone up a lot. But iirc that change was awhile ago.

Ya that's the real thing going on here. She had 140b for a day then right back down to like 30b. Had about 14b within a month of starting...

Ya there's no reason to allow this kind of theft in the game. I get not being able to spend effort over small thefts but just set the policy that theft and scamming above, say 100m, violates tos and the money will be taken back.

You see this in the weapon lending threads with how much collateral they require, unless a staff member does the trade. The game is worse off with this shit.

Ya when 2.0 first came out I didn't care to start learning it. Finally started last Christmas and I'm up to forgery 49, hustling 70 and done with the others. It was fun for a time, and I was doing SfC and shoplifting when cracking came out so finding hpcpus while lvling and selling them for upwards of 3 million was great. Then I started cracking after the price fell. Good times, even got the chair while leveling shoplifting. 

But it has gotten tiring and I don't like taking the time to sell all the junk, and I'd like to save high quality weapons so selling those is also time consuming compared to the scraps most are worth. 2.0 gives too much junk, at least there's a button to sell all junk but not all of it counts.

I do want more crimes and hope we get better profit ones too. It's been long enough, give us 1 of the high end ones!
