I opened up this thread and was weirded out to find the forums had changed/thread had restarted, all I wanted to see though was a Calypso smile. This makes me very happy.

Hey, nice to see you, it's been ages!

So I was talking to my friend the other day and we were talking about kids. I told her I didn't care what my kids were, gay, straight, trans, whatever, I didn't care so long as they didn't bully or play football ;) and so she told me she wasn't going to enforce a gender colour upon her children. So, she wouldn't tell her boy, if she has one, that he can't have pink because that's for girls and vice versa. And I totally agree with this. She then told me that she had read this study where parents volunteered to raise their children without a gender. So, if it were a boy, they would not go 'good boy' or 'that's my boy' and likewise for female children. This meant that if a boy at birth, or girl at birth, they often chose a mix of both girls and boys toys and clothes. However, for one participant, the school, for legal reasons, had to know the child's gender and this information got out, and the child was ostracised. The child couldn't understand why it wasn't allowed to play with the opposite sex toys or dress their clothes because it had for all its life. Therefore, the child became depressed as its gender was forced upon it.

NB not entirely sure this was ethical, but still very interesting. - I'm also trying to find this on the internet but I don't think I'm using the right vocab so if anyone comes across it I would be rather greatful.

So, I guess my question is do you feel genders are forced upon us? If so, do you think that we should include both genders in one child? Do you think that'd confuse them more rather than the more simple, I don't want to be a girl I want to be a boy to the more confusing, I'm not sure if I'mma girl or boy?

They don't shit where they sleep and they only roll around in mud like every other similar animal to keep cool since they've got nothing to protect their skin from the sun!


(many animals eat their faeces so they absorb as much nutrients as possible, however pigs do not eat it unless starving to death)
