Not to single out any one person, but can we have less bumping?

Are these the red 28% motivate nuns that sold in AH for about 8.2b a couple days ago, or are they a different pair of red 28% motivate nuns?

I can't think of a more emblematic scene of modern "progressivism" than 11 limousine liberals encircling a black man and berating him for not joining their groupthink as he declines to reward someone who strangled her three small children.

It's their motto of, "I know better than you what is good for you, now do as I say and not as I do!"

They said stuff as stupid as they wanted to use this case to change the healthcare system. It just doesn't work that way. Their job as a juror is to look at the evidence, decide its credibility, and apply it to the existing law. They are fact-finders, not law-changers. They seem to have main character syndrome on the interviews they are going on after the trial, and the defense lawyer was also out of line post-trial. Also one of the jurors slipped up and basically admitted that the holdout juror was not refusing to follow the law, as had been alleged against him. Court reporters indicate he was one of the most engaged jurors during the trial and taking extensive notes.

The doxxing and character assassination of the holdout juror by the local media has already begun.

I am amazed how this case has somehow become a left-right political polarization situation. Though these days, what doesn't.

I'm not shy about criticizing staff decisions if I feel they were unfair or inconsistent, but bogie shouldn't have to take verbal abuse. 

Sure he could have de-escalated and kissed the guy's ass or whatever, but again he shouldn't have to. He replied pretty calmly anyway.

Guy shouldn't call staff a fucking inbred, especially if he's going to flip out and threaten them when they respond by suggesting anger management.

There's lots of scripty little field mice with dodgy scripts waiting to pounce on your hard-earned and fairly risked cash. They can get you within a second of leaving the table. It doesn't really seem fair, but it is allowed.

But, here are tips to help avoid poker muggers:

1. Self-hosp before you leave the table, making sure your revives are turned off. You can conveniently self hosp by using the wrong blood bag, or by attacking me (top 10 in battle stats), though blood bag is better since it does not use your e..

2. Before you leave the hospital, stash your money in a ghost trade. Do this by starting a trade with someone you trust, adding the cash, and then just leaving it in the trade. Do not click accept. Be aware that you can only leave money in a ghost trade for 6 hours before it times out and returns the cash to your wallet.

3. After you leave the table, and have put your money in a ghost trade, and then med out .... your next step is to wait. Do not remove your money from the trade right away, because someone may be waiting to mug you as soon as you med out. Remove the money at some random unsuspected time later, and quickly stash it.

Don't let lazy scripting muggers steal your hard earned poker cash! 

Make sure all poker players you know are aware of how to use these safeguards! The more that people are mugged, the less they'll be able to play poker.

There is always variance, but water finds its level, or something. Stick to the fundamentals and play your game. Any tables below cats will always be especially wild and subject to variance. It gets more logical (relatively speaking) as you move up in tables.

No one is really so clueless about poker that they play 63% of hands and are shocked when their trashy two pairs keeps losing.

This deserves a 3-fer.

Are we still going on about the Htr book club situation?

It's obvious what happened, the problem is that staff won't own up to the real reasoning for why they did what they did.

They thought Htr should have known better, period.  Of course, the rules don't say that you should be suspicious when some noob conveniently offers to find another noob for you, as it could certainly hapen legitimately. Even Torn noobs have RL friends and family too. But staff seems to have looked at this and said, you can't plead ignorance in this situation, we are making the arbitrary and subjective judgment that you should have known. Maybe you could argue either way about what Htr should have been suspicious of, but that's not the point, so I'm not asking for a re-litigation of the facts.

So it seems like the rules don't say what Htr did was wrong, but staff feels like he should have known, in other words, they felt, rightly or wrongly, that he sort of skirted the spirit of the law while adhering to the letter of it, they whacked him with a temp ban. 

Of course they can't say they are applying this standard, because it's not the actual defined standard, not actually worthy of a fed within the rules, and it opens a massive can of worms as to who should have inferred or suspected what in any given situation, but I'm pretty sure this is what they did.

No other explanation of Htr's fed makes sense, unless we have been given an incorrect summary of the underlying situation.

And in a nutshell it's why the whole abetting rule is fucked. Abetting should only be in the most blatant cases where the person actually did know, or like utterly blatantly should have known of, and did benefit from, a very serious rule violation. In Htr's case staff seems to have applied a knew or should have known standard, which is ripe to flawed judgment, and can theoretically happen to any of us too, for some silly and inconsequential alleged referral shenanigans. This is what people warned about from the beginning, that abetting might cause us to break rules without even knowing it, and trigger some sort of unclear duty to investigate to some undefined extent. 

Staff may, for good reasons, want to keep the line a little blurry. Because there are always people who will get as close to the line as possible, and engage in some real dodgy stuff while feigning ignorance. And we don't want to instruct them on the exact maximum amount of dodgy stuff they can get away with. However, this silly referral situation was not that.

Hornz is right that staff can do whatever they want, but for the sake of the continued health of the game, the players need to feel confident that the rules are actually what the TOS says they are, and we're not unintentionally jeopardizing our investment in this game without even knowing it.

This. It is annoying, and the traders who do this, i stop taking them seriously. I buy a lot for my faction's armory, and the repeat business I give to trustworthy, non-gouger traders is probably more than some ham n' egger gets after sniping my bid last minute to try and flip for a couple hundred million in profit. Spending your time hunting for a sucker is a lame way to do business.
