1. Ability to view current bets on the laptop while traveling. Since events were removed, there's no way to tell what games you bet on until you land in Torn again. You can't edit the bet, just view them like you can view the newspaper/stock market/etc.
2. Introduction of PARLAYS for spread bets. If you make 3 or more bets on spreads, you should have the option to put those 3 bets into a parlay. This will only work for spreads since the multipliers are constant. If you include the ability to mix sports (American Football/Basketball), even better. You will not be able to include money line bets.
3. Ability for people to roll the dice on the underdog outright. I know torn doesn't like moneyline bets where the spread is greater than +/-2, but there should be a way for people to be able to bet on the underdog moneyline if they so choose. To be clear, this only applies to the underdog and not the favorite. The favorite would still have the point spread.

4. Instead of having a staff member "self fed" an account, allow people to toggle their accounts "active/inactive" similar to a real life gym membership. However, the conditions are:
You cannot create a new account
Minimum 90 days your account is locked
You can only do it once a year & there is a total MAX number of times TOTAL
Some monetary penalty
If you do want to "restart" then maybe we'll have a restart option, but once that happens, your account is locked forever.
I follow College Basketball pretty closely and since Phil/Taktiks posted some pretty fun bets so far and also plan to continue to post some interesting bets outside of the regular spread bets, I thought I'd offer people my tips on how to bet on some of these options and where I am putting my money. I will not be picking NIT games.
I'll be updating this thread as bets become available:
1. "16 to beat a 1" - The return on this bet is 1.05 and for good reason, a 16 has never beaten a 1 and I would not expect that to change this year. Take the 5% and bet as much as you can. Despite the low return, this was easy money.
2. "Any 1 seed to win" - I'd take the field here because my personal preference is that the winner will be a 2 or 3 seed. Plus Kansas, UNC, and Gonzaga are not very strong 1 seeds. Villanova also has some bad losses during the year too. The field also has a decent 4/7 return so it's well worth the return relative to the risk.
3. "Any 2 seed to win" - Duke, Arizona, Louisville, and Kentucky feature some of the best players in the country. This is where I would dump some cash. Duke is one of the hottest teams in the country and Kentucky has a guy named Malik Monk who can take over a game.
4. "Any 3 seed to win" - I would bet some cash on the 3 seed as well. UCLA, Oregon, FSU, and Baylor are all legit teams as well. UCLA has one of the top 3 players in the country in Lorenzo Ball, while Oregon can rain 3s all day if they get hot. The return here is 4/1 so it's well worth the risk. If you stack the Field of the 1 seed, plus bet on the 2 or 3 seeds to win it, you have a great chance at making a decent chunk of change here.
5. "Any 4 seed to win" - It could happen, but doubtful. West Virginia, Florida, Butler, and Purdue are the options. WVU can't score points consistently, while Butler and Purdue couldn't win their conference tournaments when facing inferior opponents. I actually have WVU losing to Bucknell in the first round in a couple of brackets. If you lay cash here, you are banking on Florida to beat UVA, Villanova, & Duke... sure it could happen, but I'd rather roll the dice on the 2s and 3s making a run.
6. OUTRIGHT - I wish I could pick more than 1 here, but if forced to pick just 1 then you'd have to roll Duke. The way I'd rank them are: Duke, Arizona, UCLA, and Oregon/Louisville (I keep flip flopping on them) - just don't bet on a team that has that 500x multiplier because that's just not gonna happen unless EVERYONE on Duke gets hurt. Duke is done.
7. General Rule before Phil/Taktiks starts posting individual game matches - The 4 best college basketball conferences (100% opinion) are the ACC, Big 12, PAC 12, Big East- if there are some Pick'ems or moneyline bets that will pop up, lean towards teams from these conferences because more often that not, they will come out on top.
Bottomline - it's March Madness for a reason, and anything can happen.
First Round Betting Record: 11-21 - Those win margin / tri-bets were rough... Phil dominated that first round
Round of 32 Record: Not good. Those Tri-bets killed me, but the layup bets (spreads, moneyline) were easy money for me.

====Space Reserved for Game Picks based on what will be posted====
3/23 - Gonzaga v. West Virginia (O/U 147.5, Tri Bet -3.5): Pick: U 147.5 (1.91), Gonzaga -3.5 (2.1) This one is pretty easy... I think... WVU plays low scoring games so I'd expect the combined score to be somewhere south of 140. I also think the Zags take this by 2 or more possessions. The under was easy money here. Zags only won by 3 because they couldn't grab a rebound at the end when WVU was throwing up 3s to try to tie.
3/23 - Michigan v. Oregon (O/U 147.5, Tri Bet -3.5): Pick: O 147.5 (1.91), Either by 3 or less (3.25) Here I will take the over cause both of these teams are offensive powerhouses. Michigan is hot but Oregon has more talent, so once again I am taking the "either" here because I really don't know who will win... just hope Michigan doesn't win by 4 again. Big time pay with that 3.25 multi on a 1 point win for Oregon where Michigan bricked a 3 at the buzzer. What a great game!
3/23 - Purdue v. Kansas (Win Margin, Halftime Score): Pick: Kansas W 1-10 (2.4), Tie (21) Kansas SHOULD win this game because they have the size to stop Haas and Swanigan. Also, best player on the court is Jackson. I'm also chasing the return for halftime score because who the F knows who will lead at halftime... Kansas winning was the easy pick - seeing them win by 32 was not. I am shocked Purdue came out like crap.
3/23 - Xavier v. Arizona (+/- 7.5, Tri Bet 7.5, Higher Scoring Half, Tri Bet 7.5 (Relist)): Pick: Arizona -7.5 (1.91), Arizona -7.5 (2.1), 2nd Half (1.25), Either Team Win by 7 Pts or Less (2) Phil listed the same bet twice with the Tri Bet but the odds are slightly different so I'm gonna hedge here. Take Zona to win by 8 or more because Xavier went bonkers from 3 and I don't think they will repeat here. The higher scoring half is almost always the 2nd half which is why the return is low... go for the easy money here. Finally, I am hedging on the 2nd Tri Bet in case Xavier does keep it close or even beat Zona. If that happens they won't beat them by more than 7. So this was interesting... the first half and second half was even because Zona couldn't pick up a bucket to either tie or win the game, so both halves hit at 72. I was unaware there was a tie option with this bet when I did my write up. This will sting for a bit cause on prop bets like these I always chase the return. Good thing Phil gave us that 2nd bet because Xavier pulled the upset to win by 2.
3/24 - Butler v. North Carolina (Tri Bet 7.5, +/-7.5, O/U 153.5) - Pick: NC -7.5 (2.1), NC -7.5 (1.83), U 153.5 (1.91) Doubling up here because I think this is a Kansas/Purdue situation where North Carolina will dominate Butler is all facets of the game. Ride the double stack here. Take the under as well her as both these teams should be scoring somewhere in the high 60s/low 70s. This played out very much like Kansas/Purdue with UNC steamrolling Butler - it was never really close... UNC and Butler combined for 170 points
3/24 - UCLA v. Kentucky (Win Margin, Tri Bet 3.5) - Pick: UCLA win 1-10 (2.4), Either Team (2.7) This is going to be one of the best games all tournament. Give me UCLA to win, but hedge that it'll be a close game that'll be decided by 3 or less. This game is a real flip of a coin here. Wow - Kentucky really pulled away there at the end and won by 11. I am shocked Kentucky was able to beat UCLA by double digits
3/24 - Wisconsin v. Florida (Win Margin, Tri Bet 3.5) - Pick: Florida win 1-10 (2.4). Either Team (3.1) I seriously don't know who will win this game. This game can be a repeat of Xavier v. Zona very easily. Wisconsin has the shooters and Ethan Happ is the best post presence in this game. I would not be surprised if Wisconsin wins this game... Yeah $$$$ DOUBLE STACK! What a game too - You had a game tying miracle 3 to send it into OT and then a miracle 3 in OT to win it...
3/24 - Baylor v. South Carolina (O/U 135.5, ML) - Pick: O 135.5 (1.91), Baylor (1.63) This game is going to be tight but I have Baylor winning, which means there will be points being scored. This will be a 70s - 60s type game where the over should be the call and Baylor ending South Carolina's run. Against my better judgement I thought Baylor would outwork South Carolina and wear down their defense, but the opposite happened... South Carolina dominated and wore down Baylor and now they are a team to fear as they face either Florida or Wisconsin, both teams they can definitely beat.
3/25 - Xavier v. Gonzaga (+/- 8.5, OU 145.5) - Pick: Xavier +8.5 (1.83), O 145.5 Hell if I'm gonna go against Xavier's spread. I picked the over because both these teams can easily get into the 70s. I'm expecting a battle in this game as both teams fight for a Final 4 spot. I am late to the party, but I am firmly riding the Blueitt bandwagon. I hate Xavier. When I decide to get on the bandwagon they throw up a dud. Zags do what I expected but Xavier was ice cold from the field in the 2nd half. The over was looking solid until Xavier stopped making shots.
3/25 - Oregon v. Kansas (Win Margin, Tri Bet 7) - Pick: Oregon 1-10 (3.5), Either Team (1.83) Rolling with the upset here. Simply put, Kansas has been stomping teams all tournament and I just have a feeling that stops today. Oregon can play solid D and has a full slate of scorers. At worst I am expecting the game to be within 7 on either side. This is why tri-bets suck. I knew Oregon was going to come out like gangbusters and win... unfortunately they came out too strong and beat Kansas by more than 10.
3/26 - Kentucky v. UNC (O/U 159.5, Tri-bet 3.5, Win Margin) - Pick: U 159.5 (1.95), Either (3.5), Kentucky 1-10 (2.88) This is going to be an amazing game with excellent talent across the board for both teams. I am taking the under because that's a boatload of points, and expecting a nail biter of a game. My win margin bet is a bit biased because I have cash down on a 2 seed to win the tournament and Kentucky is the last 2 seed remaining. I need Kentucky to knock off UNC here. Easy $$ with the under and Either picks. Kentucky was a stretch but that double stack for Under and Either paid out a pretty penny.
3/26 - South Carolina v. Florida (O/U 134.5, Tri-bet 3.5, Win Margin) - Pick: U 134.5 (2), Either (3.5), Florida 1-10 (2.5) South Carolina defense has been unwordly ever since the tournament started, so I am thinking the battle with Florida will be a low scoring tight affair. Florida just has way too many tools at their disposal, so similar to Xavier v. Gonzaga, I am going with what should be the more talented team to win. I would avoid the win margin bet, but the O/U and Either should hit. What an amazing game by South Carolina to once again put up a monster 2nd half to shut down Florida. Most surprising run of the tournament by far.
this is borderline "buggy" if it's really THIS rare. I'm going on 2 months now and not seeing both security systems disabled - unless it happens when I'm asleep.
I have 4 uniques left for this crime and been stuck for over a month now. I need the guards and cameras to be down on the jewelry store, big al's and cyber force. Any guidance would be helpful

Exactly, and it'd be fine if this was the main reason for this update - but bogie's justification for this update wasn't to force people to be active - it was to catch bots/multis... which I don't know if it'd actually do that without hurting legit players
The one problem with this update is not you'll catch legit players who aren't as active as they should be based on this update - i get what the update is supposed to do, but it'd be helpful to know what constitutes as the baseline of activity - i've heard from other people who said their effectiveness tanked even though they spend 30 mins in the casino, or other people who log in just to train their e... it'd be helpful to the legit players what kind of activities they need to do to maintain 5* - unless the answer is that companies now need to make sure they hire people who actively play torn 5-6 hours a day
I just want to make sure - if this is to identify multis or cheat accounts - will those accounts be fedded? Or will torn keep them active and it's up to the Directors to take action?
