I'd hoped that Bethesda had trolled that Kotaku guy to ruin his credibility, and that it was going to be this gen's answer to New Vegas.

My internet is bad, and I like story driven single player games. Years of playing Call of Duty, Battlefield etc. have left me jaded over online PVP games. Having some guy scream expletives at me down a microphone, or being griefed isn't my idea of fun amymore. Not to mention LOOT BOXES. Bethesda normally cater to that! Alas, not this time around.

But, hopefully Starfield will be good, and ES6 will be a wild one I'm sure.



Besides, just cause 4, Wolfenstein and a plethora of others should tide us over!

Before the manager hash up I was going with Spain.

Now my brain says Brazil or Germany. But heck, I'm going with a Wildcard in the form of Serbia. Mitrovic will either score a tonne of goals, or get sent off 5 minutes into the first game.

Also, I will just point out that the development of the understanding of microbiology and how germs spread has nothing to do with the bible. That the bible mentions washing hands before and after handling corpses is incidental and likely due to respect reasons; so let's not conflate it with hygiene. Miasma theory dominated peoples' opinions re the spread of disease for a long time, and plenty of Christian doctors and nurses adhered to it. Even after germ theory, people still didn't wash their hands. Hell, how many people don't wash their hands after using the bathroom still today?

Semmelweis, the doctor referred to whom Nobody was referring to, was committed to an insane asylum following abusive tirades against his colleagues, social withdrawal, ignorance of his family, obsessional ideas and liaising with prostitutes. You know what I hate? Discovering a coffee cup I'd forgotten about, which had just the right amount of liquid in it to grow mould. I can clean it and clean it, but it just... bothers me a little bit. At least for the first few times I use it thereafter. Then, once I realise that I'm not getting unwell through using it, the cycle begins again.
