Week 11 is here and with my survivor pool over, I have nothing to worry about. Last week was an upset heavy week but I think things balance out a bit this week. I have a few upset plays this week, the biggest being Jacksonville beating Pittsburgh. I know the Jags are not the same team they were last season but their defense is still top notch and they beat the Steelers in both match ups last year. I think the Jags trip up the Steelers in this one.
My Picks:
Dallas @ Atlanta
Cincinnati @ Baltimore
Carolina @ Detroit
Tennessee @ Indianapolis
Tampa Bay @ NY Giants
Houston @ Washington
Pittsburgh @ Jacksonville
Oakland @ Arizona
Denver @ LA Chargers
Philadelphia @ New Orleans
Minnesota @ Chicago
Kansas City @ LA Rams
Let me know what plays you guys have this week.
You have won the bet on the NBA Finals - Cavs v GSW - Series Score game! You bet $100,000,000 on Cavaliers to win the Series 4-3 and won $850,000,000! Your check will be held in the bank for up to 24 hours.
You have won the bet on the NBA Finals - Cavs v GSW - Finals MVP game! You bet $100,000,000 on LeBron James - Cavs and won $330,000,000! Your check will be held in the bank for up to 24 hours.
You have won the bet on the NBA Finals - Cavs v GSW - ChampionshipSeries game! You bet $100,000,000 on Cavaliers to win the ChampionshipSeries and won $290,000,000! Your check will be held in the bank for up to 24 hours.
I'm surprised how quickly it paid out. Total winnings $1.4 billion
The NFL conference championships are here! We have New England at Denver and Arizona at Carolina. I have made a 50M bet on all 8 NFL games this week and here is what I am betting:
Manning over
Brady over
Cam over
Palmer over
NEvDEN over
AZvCAR over
NE -3.5
CAR -3.5
So as you can see I'm going with favorites and over for everything. What are you guys betting? Good luck!
I did too. I still have the event saved.
You have won the bet on the NCAA- Heisman Trophy Winner 2011-12 game! You bet $300,000,000 on Robert Griffin III and won $1,350,000,000! You can withdraw your money next time you visit the bookies. 2011/12/1212:19:19 PM

Thank you, all for tips! I just got back home last night and had a blast. The first part of the trip, I stayed near the Tower Bridge. I walked a ton, and explored the different markets from there. I did the Tower of London tour which was great. I got there around noon and it wasn't too crowded. By the time I left around 4pm it was packed. On the second part of the trip, back from Paris, I stayed more on the west end of London. I saw the major sites, Big Ben, Westminster, etc. I also did a tour of the state rooms at Buckingham Palace. It was so beautiful to walk around the rooms and out into the garden at the end of the tour. One of the days my wife and I did the Warner Bros Tour (My wife is a huge Harry Potter nerd). She was blown away by everything there.
Paris was a lot of fun too. Since planning the trip, I had been working on my French and got to use it pretty often. Although, a few times I walked into bar/restaurant expecting to try and order in French only to have the worker say something like "Hey, how's it going? What can I get you?" They were all very nice and helpful but knew I was American the second I walked in. I wasn't able to see everything but felt like I saw a bunch. Visited the Eiffel Tower, Monet Museum, Notre Dame, walked around Montmartre, walked along the Seine.
I ate quite a few times at a pub in London which was a great atmosphere. Lots of good food and beer. It was pretty funny, a couple of times I did hear a drunk English man making fun of Americans. Both times it was some rant about how the English army is so much stronger than the US military. One of them said Americans can't pronounce certain words and mentioned that Americans don't know what "Cheers!" means when drinking. Of course I'm sure it was just a random guy and I minded my own business but I did find it humorous.
Thanks again for all the info and no, I didn't have my phone stolen and wasn't robbed once lol.
Thanks for the tips. It gives me a few more things to look into. Good to know about the pub food. I'm not big into fine dinning. I enjoy good food but I'm not a fancy type of person.
Yes, if you have any tips for Paris that would be great. We are staying in Le Marais for only a couple days but the only thing we have planned so far is a pastry class on one of the mornings.
Thank you for your insight! We have tickets booked for a tour of the Tower of London and a tour of Buckingham Palace. Good to know about the walk from Westminster to Tower bridge, I wasn't sure if that walk would be enjoyable but it sounds like it would be. I'll definitely look into mudlarking, that could be a unique thing to do. Thanks again for taking the time to share.
It will be my first time there so I feel I need to at least see some of the touristy things (Buckingham, Big Ben, etc.) I'm staying near the Tower Bridge for the first stint of the trip (Taking the train into Paris then coming back to London for a few days) so I got tickets to the Tower of London. Is there anything in that area that isn't a big touristy thing to see? I'm also trying to find a place that sells some neat antique things. I want to buy something old from the UK as a souvenir. Nothing crazy or big but maybe something like an old pocket watch or something.
I've looked up some videos on those markets. Looks like there are great spots to try a bunch of different food options. I'm going in July, how crowded is it going to be? I know it will be crowded but will it be that bad to where I just walk in and walk out?
I'm visiting London for the first time this July. Any tips on where to stay, where not to stay? Anything I NEED to check out? I saw Duke's is in a prime location, maybe I'll get a drink there. Thanks for any tips!

Holy cow! Looks like I have 1 win heading into Monday night. If the Jags would have held on I could at least have a small victory but this was crazy town.
Week 11 picks are in! Good luck everyone.
A rough week as a lot of upsets took place. I went 6-7 last week and to top it off my survivor pool pick (Philadelphia) lost to the Cowboys on Monday Night... Ouch! This week will undoubtedly be better than last week.
I'm going to blame the losses in week 10 on some sort of gypsy curse.
I see Hyp is ready for week 11. I'll post my week 11 picks on Friday. Good luck all!
Week 10 picks are in. As a Dolphins fan, I'm taking them to upset the Packers this week. So if you bet that game you may want to take the Packers. Good luck everyone!
Week 9 went well. Actually made a little profit this week with my bets as well. I think next week I will bet every game and see how it goes.
Week 9 picks: 9-3 Overall picks: 35-17
Week 9 bets: 4-1 Overall bets: 11-9
Profit/Loss: $15,100,000 Profit/Loss: -$5,570,000
How did you guys do this week?
New picks are in and I guarantee* all of my bets will win!
*guarantee is for novelty purposes only and means absolutely nothing
Week 8 picks: 10-3 Overall picks: 26-14
Week 8 bets: 3-2 Overall bets: 7-8
Profit/Loss: $180,000 Profit/Loss: -$20,670,000
I should have won that Green Bay game which would have been a good payoff but Montgomery had to try and return the kickoff. 10-3 for me this week. Maybe I should just bet all the games but change how much I bet on each like Hyp. BTW Hyp, nice picks! Keep it going. What game do you feel most confident on? I'll post my picks Friday.
It is kind of annoying that there is no point spread, that's why I try to make my bet picks with a few upsets. My overall picks are pretty good but you can't really make money if you just bet the winning teams straight up.
Hopefully it will change.
New picks are in! I love those London games. I get to watch football from 6:30am till about 8:30pm. Good times!
Week 7 picks: 8-5 Overall picks: 16-11
Week 7 bets: 2-3 Overall bets: 4-6
Profit/Loss: -$19,300,000 Profit/Loss: -$20,850,000
Well my survivor pool pick won and I had another 8 games picked correctly but the bets have been a little off... But a new week is right around the corner. How did everyone else do?
