Let me introduce myself. I've been playing Torn City since I was a kid - my fondest memories include accessing the game on the browser of the now archaic Kindle, the one with the ink screen. I've been playing on and off over the years.
Nowadays, I'm a Finance major with vast experience in Data Science, more specifically - Machine Learning (popularly referred to as Artificial Intelligence). I have recently returned to Torn City, (before you mug me, all of my slender amount of money is off-shore) and am very interested in all the data and info that this game relies on. Over the past couple of days, I've been working on making spreadsheets and regression models for growth based on the information available in-game, as well as working on implementing the API into my spreadsheets to be able to monitor results.
I have done a lot of research, and have come up with an extensive plan that would span 15+ pages of business proposals and proven ways to make money. My biggest bottleneck now is that, in order to actually be efficient, it requires about 8 to 10 billion in-game dollars. I have been told that asking for money on forums is a very bad idea - and I remember this from back in the days. My question is somewhat different: is it allowed within the rules to publicly pitch investment opportunities on the forums? If the rules allow it, I will make a detailed business proposal and use data to back my points - no begging or vague ideas. Do you guys think this is allowed? I don't want to waste time working on the proposal if this will be breaking the rules. I am not in a financial position to purchase donator packs for real money so as to sell them. Instead, I know how to make money in-game, have very accurate forecasts and understand all the mechanics (I'm a financial analyst, so for instance, the stock market is an interesting point to me - even though it is very very limited in this game).
Please share your thoughts and vote! If you have anybody who might be interested in a protege who could earn them very high returns on their money, please link them to this post! I am open to all questions and am looking forward to your feedback. Thanks!

Because I've been receiving a lot of requests and PM's, I will clarify here: It's a very busy season for me right now but since the feedback has been mostly positive, I'll be writing a business plan which will cover my approach, strategies, methodology as well as the risks associated with this. Obviously I'll be looking to get a safe-guard in places, such as backing losses with my own capital or even a real-money fund which would go towards donator packs to cover the losses. I am assuming that this will be long-term profitable due to the economic theory behind it. This is for smart investors who like to play the long game and will be receiving insights and tips from my personal thoughts on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, I've yet to put some thought into this.
TLDR: I was testing the water, and I see that this is something that people want - so I will move forward with this. Expect a 15-page report within the next 4 to 5 days. If I'm inspired, I might even have it published by this time tomorrow.

Deep Learning and Machine Learning are not the same things. I believe you might be confusing Machine Learning with Neural Networks, judging by the context. You are correct, however, in that ML is a branch of AI - but the words are so loosely thrown around that people associate the traditional functions of ML with AI. The joke in the industry goes as follows: "If it works, it's machine learning. If it's on a powerpoint, then it's AI" This joke refers to how everybody just loves to add "AI-enhanced" or "AI-powered" to their product descriptions when in reality they are describing technology that has existed for decades.
I used to believe this too - Google Sheets is a great tool but it's not great enough. Ever since I started my career in Finance I realized that Excel is vastly superior, albeit for small use cases such as simple subtraction or averaging they perform equally. You can have the same functionality of sharing/collaborating with others by using Microsoft Office 365. If you look at job descriptions for corporations, they will ask you to use Excel and not Google Sheets. Regardless, I use Excel for small calculations on the go since I have it on my second monitor and it's easy to change values in a visual way if you've already developed a system of worksheets.
EDIT: For scripts, there are more free tools for Google Sheets HOWEVER this is irrelevant if you code the integration yourself and run the scripts elsewhere, which is what I do. EDIT2: Forgot to thank you for your contribution - thanks!
BTW, I recognize your meme and the time it took you to make it - it's a huge compliment to me that my thread has somehow lead you to do this - I'm very big on graphic design so I can offer you a little tip: with static backgrounds, such as this one which is just black, add black squares on top of the text you don't want others to see. If squares are not an option, make a black "." character and expand it until it covers the entire area. +upvote for creativity!
So in summary to all the stuff I've been reading: if you're the skeptical type, and the type that is going to make memes about my reliability - this 1) Isn't for you 2) I'm going to take a larger cut on you, I call it "asshole tax"
For smart investors: I am going to be fully transparent and open about my methods - I am confident enough that people won't be able to recreate my results unless they're equally skilled and have as much data-processing ability as I do, which is statistically unlikely. However, you got the money/capital in the first place - this means you know your shit about this game. That means that you will be able to see straight off the bat whether this is actually a good method or not. Hey! What do I know? Perhaps I am wrong and my methodology is flawed. I'm not an expert on Torn City - you are! I've had overwhelmingly positive support through private messages, and so far I've negotiated 3,250,000,000 from 5 backers, and am in talks with 7 more (I've got a report due in 4 hours, I really shouldn't be on the forum right now). My objective is $8,000,000,000 as this is the approximate value at which we can start making use of efficiencies of scale and actually influence markets to gain an advantage. Again, if this system is deemed to fail - you will see this by looking at my method and determine that it won't work. You know your shit about the game and it's not like I'm going to introduce wildly new concepts, I'm just great at optimizing - and I'm also persistent, I'm available 19 hours of the day. If it helps trust, I could start a Discord channel where I will share results and weekly insight on the state of Torn City's markets.

I just got back into the game so I'm really unaware of all of these - the only real risk is me quitting this. But I've paid for 60 days donator already and I've been checking in and out of the game for 11 years so you know I'm not going anywhere! Plus, can't you get banned for scamming?

That is exactly what I am doing right now! I'm going to be posting my findings either on the forum or on my personal blog, I'm doubting if Torn players are mature enough that I can share my personal blog around here - if anybody goes berserk there, it won't look good with my employers.

I'm preparing a report that's due tomorrow so I can't get into specifics, but I'm planning to be very transparent about my methods as well as blogging about the whole experience because I think it's a cool project.
