Chedburn implements racing teams with their own faction style page. What do I mean by racing teams? Well think of how in real life you have the Ferrari team, Mercedes, Toyota, Maserati, Honda, Ford and so on. Racing teams are the contenders for the new official Torn racing league (with division tables based on points and classes). Each racing team has a director that hires drivers to represent the team in the league tables. Your racing team can compete in Class A division, class B division, C, D, and E, all with their respective cars in each class. Racers may not use their own cars. They must instead use the official cars that belong to the racing team and can only be upgraded through the racing teams page. Each racing team must hire drivers and assign them to a league (A,B,C,D and E) for that season, upgrade cars, and win races. Each racing team may assign a limitted ammount of drivers to each league division.
For example: Data pays a huge fee and establishes a racing team called "Datari". He uploads a brand logo and starts to explore all the sections of his new racing team page. He wastes no time and begins hiring the best drivers in town in an effort to form an elite brand that will dominate the Torn racing league tables. By the time he hires the first few drivers, he opens the newspaper and sees ToxicMonkey's advertisement for his racing team "Toxicedes". Before you know it Lumbricus forms "Lumbrighini", Hammer forms "Hammerati", Rogue creates "Alfa Rogueo", you get where I'm going with this...
A new age in Torn racing is born with endless possibilities. For the sake of not making this post ridiculously long I won't get into too many details, but here are just a few quick notable mentions:
Racing teams can make serious money (like companies do) and must also spend money to pay their drivers, maintenance costs and so on. This creates a source of income/expenditure. You can still continue with your regular job/faction while you compete for the success of your racing team, however, you may not be a director of a company if you are a director of a racing team. It's one or the other.
Racing in leagues means you will be less likely to win a race (as you will be up against more people per race) but you will be racing more laps per race, and you will be racing with better drivers, so that will be reflected in the xp gain. You can not participate in regular races while you're waiting for, or racing in a league race. This opens up the path for newer drivers that are not desired by racing teams. They will win more often in regular races, as the better drivers are more likely to be engaged in leagues with their racing team. You can still join regular races while you're not racing or waiting for a league race to start.
Racing teams must go through qualifying stages at the start of each season to make it in to that year's league. This is to maintain the integrity of each season and prevent it from being overwhelmed with too many noobs. Racing teams that do not qualify for the league must suffer the consequences and wait until the next qualifiers. This will prevent every Tom, Dick, and Harry from poluting the leagues and will instead motivate people to first practice with regular races before attempting to create or join a racing team. Remember... we don't want racing teams to negate regular racing, but rather occupy/reward better racers so that regular races can be a breeding ground for newer drivers with weak RS.
If you leave your racing team or are fired by your director, you won't be able to join another racing team until the next season. So pick your team and stick with it!
Each driver will be assigned to one class by the director for the duration of that season. This is to prevent the same people from winning multiple divisions for that season. You must spread the glory and assign your drivers wisely. There is a limit to how many drivers you may assign to each division.
Leagues must pause during URT tournaments. Running leagues during URT is blasphemy.
Merits - Proffesional Racer (Qualify for the racing league). Elite Racer (Win a racing league season)
Competing for a racing team can provide special perks. You wont be able to train someone to boost their RS, but you can instead train them to boost other stats. For example "Your director insists you rejuvinate your senses in preparation for the next league race. He sends you to a spa session to calm your nerves - Your nerve bar regeneration is increased by 100% for one day". You can give perks for all kinds of stats in various ways (intelligence/manual labor/endurance/happiness/dexterity/speed and so on. All of a sudden racing in Torn is more than just "niche".
I've got so many ideas for this I could keep going on and on, but I don't want to get carried away. For example we could introduce formula 1 cars that are exclusive to racing teams, where drivers get to engage in a unique division of F1 cars that only racing teams can own and upgrade. I'm sure there are other ideas bursting in your head as you read this. There are probably obstacles to this that I haven't thought about, but I think with enough planning this can be patched up into a legitimate existence and set the stage for the best update in Torn racing history.

I couldn't bare to watch the last race... I felt drained after staying up for so many qualifiers and this was my final chance. I joined the last race... prayed with all my heart to God for help, and told my friend that I have a good feeling I will make it in the last race -_- I woke up in the night before the sun was up. In my dark cold room I braced myself and gathered my composure as I logged in to see what happened. *gasps* :O I saw that I have mail and people opening chat boxes with me! My eyes widened as I went straight to my inbox and there it was! Message from Sugarvalves congratulating me on qualifying! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!! >:'o

You can possibly do relatively well in the URT even with a low racing skill, but you've got to at least show up with a worthy car. It's a bit cheeky to come with a class D car and then enquire about why some of those maxed class A cars are not finishing behind you as "promised". Come on pal, you knew where this was going lol. You'll have a fighting chance to compete in the next URT if you keep at it. As for qualifying in this one FORGET IT.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could perform an organised hit against another faction with a drive-by? Allow me to elaborate:
You and a couple of faction members get together and decide to do a drive-by shooting against another faction to send them a message, get some respect, and even knock a few people off the wall during a faction war with a drive-by shooting.
The higher the RS of the driver, the more efficient and successful the drive-by shooting will be.
Setting up a drive-by shooting event would get you crime xp, respect, cost ZERO energy, but come with a cooldown.
Perhaps you could even do a drive-by shooting against a much stronger individual. Just drive by the mothertrucker and unload some metal on him before you put the pedal down and flee like a bunch of p*ssies haha. It could be a tactical way to weaken a super strong player without using energy. You know... soften him up a bit before you do a chain attack on him.
*shrugs* I think it's a fun way to make RS useful. Please share your thoughts and discuss.
Class E and D are short lived. There will be a small delay in C but you'll fly past that one also, then you'll feel stuck in class B for a long time before you make that breakthrough and taste the sweetness of class A. Once the novelty of class A wears off you'll kind of miss the lower classes and wish you had a bit more time with them.
Even if you don't have any points to upgrade with when you finally get to class A, your upgraded Cosworth from class B will earn you points on all dirt tracks. That's a good guide Triguem is showing you here, use it. Be sure to look at the guide Travalgar posted too. Use those links and also RD_'s Racing Guide "2.0" - These three guides are the best literature on Torn racing.
You could even get yourself a job at a company that gives you racing points. The game is well designed to get you out of these predicaments. Just use your brain. Enjoy the journey. Race your class proudly and enjoy it while it lasts. Have fun.

i did not mean to annoy you, nor did i undermine anyone. speak for yourself. each player has their own story and journey in this game. i'm not trying to take that away from them.
truth be told you got disqualified for getting drunk and not showing up to a bunch of urt races. the last person in this tournament who can shake his finger at others and talk about undermining the competition is you.
you're doing well this time and i wish you good luck with the rest of the URT. please don't hold it against people or try to make them feel guilty if they cheer on their fav racers. there is no ill will in doing it. actually it's a sign of good sportsmanship to applaud and encourage a fellow competitor to perform well against you. There's a reason why some people are famous in this game and have a following. They earned it.
This competition is bigger than me, who am I to root only for myself.
PS shout out to my URT buddy Phool! i have this ritual with him where we often commentate each other's qualifying races every URT and try to boost each other to do well. I forgot to mention I'm rooting for him also! where are my manners...

Even after years, it seems this question still stands. It's arguably the most important track in the URT, and in general for racing XP.

Just go to their profile page and click on the stats button next to bazaar. From there look for the speedometer button and click on it to see all their racing statistics (including RS). Keep in mind the RS displayed there is rounded off. You don't actually get to see the precise RS. For example 24.05RS will be displayed as 24RS.
