- Kata's n00b Appreciation Week: a stat contest for players under 60 days old
In June 2017 Kata opened a week-long contest for new players in a Fun & Games thread, with donator packs as prizes. The thread drew 414 replies and was cited by later new-player competitions.

In March 2018 DUDE posted that PT, TDT and JFK had allied against Relentless's chain. The thread drew 291 replies, a PT member's account of the territory dispute, staff comments and a lot of insults.

- Clansdancer announces they and Hydro will leave Torn after ten years
In September 2016 Admin -Clansdancer [65306] said they and Hydro would leave at the end of March 2017, named Marc [24377] as staff manager, and got farewells, jokes and one brush-off.

- Calc leadership lands with Xaviour and Ghosty is reported fedded, February 2017
In February 2017 Champion posted that Ghosty had self-fedded after leadership of Calc ended up with Xaviour. The thread drew staff, officers and a suggestion to change how leadership is transferred.

- Bar Torn City: a free-beer thread runs eight months, then closes
Hopslam opened Bar Torn City in Fun and Games in February 2018 with a large stock of beer. On 17 Oct 2018 they announced its end, and regulars posted farewells.

- Hildegarde's bounty warning to Rise Above members over Kata
In July 2018 a mass message attributed to Hildegarde told Rise Above members to expect bounties and overseas hospitalizations over Kata. The Faction Discussion thread ran for a month.

- Duke's Valentine's Day Charity Drive: a contest, a donor list and a boycott call
On 14 Feb 2017 Duke [4] opened a \"charity\" thread with a contest for the worst Valentine's story. The thread drew over 200 replies, and a payment boycott and scam accusations followed.

- Players build a Dirty Bomb List from memory and old threads
In November 2014 IIIlusionist [253384] opened a thread to list dirty bombs dropped since 2008. Players added entries from memory, and the thread was still being linked as a reference in 2016.

- WSSB insider-info thread: negative balances posted after money was removed
In January 2017 Champion opened a thread on money removed from players who profited on WSSB. Players, officers and an admin argued over who leaked, who was punished and whether the punishment was fair.

- IBB and JFA fight over a bridge territory as other factions pile in
A territory war between IBB and JFA in April 2017 drew in FTW, Relentless and others. The forum thread around it filled with taunts, wall-stacking complaints and a developer's comment on the feature.

- MarlonBrando's Presidential Primary 2018 ran on the forum for months
From May 2017 MarlonBrando [1337797] ran a self-declared Torn Presidential Primary in General Discussion. Candidates campaigned in the thread, vote-buying was alleged, and a rival thread followed in January 2018.

- Champion's open letter accuses staff member Stretch of reading chat logs
In October 2017 Champion alleged that a staff member used staff tools on Nova's chats and asked why Chedburn had not acted. A 660-post thread followed, with an admin siding with the accuser.

In January 2017 Hank [1732212] opened a General Discussion thread against Chedburn's reversal of profits made in the WSSB window. Chedburn answered in the thread, which ran to 613 replies.

- Nash's nerve bar guide revived in 2018, then tested and disputed into 2019
Alexstrasza revived a nerve bar guide on 12 Jan 2018. Players and admin CloudJumper tested its crime experience figures. On 25 Sep 2019 Rhino wrote that it was no longer correct.

From December 2017 a forum thread collected faction chain records. Factions posted 5k, 10k and 25k chains there, and some claimed respect and speed marks.
