    I expect this is an intended feature. New threads have a 'grace' period where their score is hidden for a few minutes to allow players to read the starting thread as it's new without having their opinions being distorted just …

I posted few threads and posts on different threads and my karma was 0. And then I saw someone with 100+ karma.
So do any one have any clue how it works.
It wouldn't have been much important but as ched said there would be awards for this too so i am curious to know how does it work and those who have high Karma can you all enlighten us with what you did that increased your kaarma.

Simply posting in the forums won't boost your Karma, it only gets up or down if people rate your thread / posts.

There is something wrong with forum. You cant rate the newest threads(those created in the last 1-2 hours) . Even if you rate it,it doesnt happen anything at all.

I expect this is an intended feature. New threads have a 'grace' period where their score is hidden for a few minutes to allow players to read the starting thread as it's new without having their opinions being distorted just on vote score alone. Same principal for why ratings are hidden on announcements, just on a slightly smaller scale.

Other forum sites follow similar systems where the rating of a thread is initially hidden. The icon Torn uses strikes me somewhat as a 'loading' wheel, which leads me to believe it intends for us to 'wait' to see the score until a specific time has passed.
