With this new RESPO update it looks like torn is using something like angularjs or some other kind of JavaScript in certain areas of the site.
Or maybe just plain old AJAX.
Since now a lot of pages eg. Gym dynamically deliver data back without reloading.

anyone know what js framework this is

It's not AngularJS it's just hash routing with jQuery.ajax().

It think that Torn's server side architecture would need a complete rewrite in order to successfully implement AngularJS.

I would definitely recommend using angular though. It's data binding and directives are second to none.
