Any suggestion which receives a positive score of at least 100 will receive feedback from a developer, and may be looked in to / incorporated. This score requirement may increase in the future depending on how many reach this goal.
So please rate up suggestions that you think would be a great addition to the game, and we'll be sure to at the very least, make a comment on those which players really like.

So what your saying is even if its the best idea ever and you have nasty people who are tanking your scores/posts that idea has 0 chance in hell of being coming reality. Oh that's fair.
How about staff actually going over the suggestions instead.
The problem with that system is the same people who think they are running the game will dictate what is brought into the game and of course it will be for there benefit and not the game.
Perfect example I made a great suggestion named:Suspected Karma abuse for the forums- Links And the same people who abused the karma tanked my thread. Of course they did not wanted it because then it would been easier to report them.
Ched you are making the same mistake as the Karma system, a faction of 100 players can rate a very poor idea that will just benefit them and they get a instant once over? But better suggestions has 0 chance of getting looked at.

If you want people to respond to your 'suggestions' or posts try not ranting, grow up a bit and post something constructive instead of just another whinge. Would you be agreeing with another troll if what they posted was always downvoted for being a complete waste of space in the forums? It's not the poster, it's the content... take a step back and a good look at your content... there's a pattern here mate.
Be glad that there is at least a system in place now where the developers will actively respond to suggestion posts. You say they need to 'read' them in the first place... well... no one is saying they don't... what Ched is merely saying here is that once it reaches a certain point he'll give an official comment on it one way or another so people at least know where the game stands with their suggestion. If it encourages people to upvote suggestions they like then, regardless of who posted it, it will get upvoted.

In reference to your edit: I didn't remove anything, I just added to my original post. I edit a lot of my posts all the time to do that. In fact if you want to feel free to go through the majority of my posts, you'll see most of them are edited for that exct same reason.
So whatever you felt the need to report me for is still there... or are you having second thoughts?
Oh, and before you post another thread or comment to rant about why I just downvoted your original post here. Let me make it clear from the start that I did it because your 'suggestion' is not actually a suggestion, it adds no discussion, adds nothing to the game and is generally unhelpful. You'd prefer to slow down progress of the game itself? Well, that idea in itself deserves a rate down.
If there's a good suggestion, it'll be sucessful. Downvote bridgates are mythical happenings that just aren't real. If you feel persecuted, or feel like there's some group of people dedicating time only to tank your threads, then maybe it's time to take a step back and look at your approach.
Anyway, this new feature is sort of like change.org's approach to petitions. If a petition reaches a certain amount of names, the US government makes a comment on it. Doesn't really affect whether or not the change is made, just adds a bit of communication and transparency to decision making.
You are the one being immature, you refuse to believe there is fault with your posts so instead constantly blame it on a conspiracy and then when called on it have accused people of stalking you for posting to disagree with you. What you don't seem to realise (or are even willing to accept) is that every post you make is in the public domain and other members are well within their rights to disagree with you be that by posting in reply or rating you down.

I'm beginning to think (and HOPE) it's intentional trolling.

I hate to admit it but Bogie has a point, a great majority of your posts are whining, some have been good though and I have always rated as I see it. Me and Bogie have agreed and disagreed on matters in the past neither of us feel the need to throw a tantrum when there is a disagreement, we are both adults and can take criticism. You on the other hand blow everything up out of proportion in order to get a reaction this is probably why people are following you around and r- your posts.
I had a suggestion put to the committie once without it having a huge support mainly because it was a fairly good idea, they do read the suggestions and if something is groundbreaking it will be considered. The truth of the matter is most suggestions are pants or unprogramable.
End of the day look at what your posting before you click post/reply and think is it worth posting, then act after judgement.
