You can't in RESPO... which is unfortunate as people are ending up stuck in factions with inactive leaders.

Then I will be stuck forever in if I don't quit before I am assigned to a new OC :S

My advice would be to
1) figure out what time of day your leader is online
2) 24 hours before the OC is ready to initiate go offline....
3) leader comes online, initiates the OC but will be unable to select you to join in, because he can only select those active in last 24 hours
4) Jump online and quit the faction

Might seem extreme but at present I think it's an option, if your Leader is playing hardball.

Why don't you just mail them saying a friend is starting a faction and wants you to join to attract new members since nobody wants to join a 1 man faction. Just tell him you plan to be back after he gets up in running. Sure it's a complete lie, but unless your leader is a scumbag, I can't see why they wouldn't allow it.

If the leader is playing Hardball Then The leader can never initiate it at the first place right?

The leader won't expect it :) no sane leader will leave an OC waiting to initiate for years on end just to keep a player in their faction. I don't see the point, if respect is what he's after.

This is a 'solution' to a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place. As many have mentioned, inactive leaders is a far bigger issue with this system than those maliciously keeping others trapped :/

The solution should be that people can, regardless of permissions, cancel their OWN organised crimes. The OC permission then allows additional powers to cancel other OCs and initiate OCs.
