I am saddened that they are devoting entire series to making him more mellow and loveable. Gordon being humble and murmuring 'Incredible" make me want to puke.

I think you guys fail to understand that his anger / rage is an act for the most part. Of course he actually gets pissed but a lot of it is meant to be funny / entertaining.

So him being nice / kind in other shows isn't all that surprising, he's a nice person.

I think you'll find the shows where he does all his cursing are aired after the watershed anyway. The ones where he don't curse are obviously to appeal to a wider audience, before the watershed. I'm sure he won't mellow overall, he's a well known curser in r/l, thats a hard habit to break.

Not sure he's a "nice" person, but he is very clear on his values, as in when it comes to the Kitchen and Business you gotta get it right or you're gonna awake the hulk, but within that he is also very supportive of people who genuinely share that value and want to excel in it. Basically he's a normal guy like the rest of us, but he ain't no people pleaser and he's clear about what is important to him.

i've watched a few episodes of that "home cooking" show and its actually quite good ... but then i guess what i'm interested in are the dishes and not the "reality show" crap some shows try to pass off as a "cooking show"

although, having worked in a kitchen and having a chef as a father i can't say i was surprised or impressed by ramsay's "aggressiveness"

chefs are very serious about cooking and don't wear kid gloves in the kitchen ... if your work is s**t they'll tell you exactly that straight to your face
