We're fighting and attacked the same person at the same time.
We had a double fight, I was seeing Teardrop on top of the battle screen.
I ended the fight and clicked on hospitalize (apparently so did Teardrop on her side)
It took my 25 Energy, and I believe it did for Teardrop as well.

This dodgyness is expected with the old attacking system. The new one is about 4 weeks away from release, I think we can hold off until then.
