If I do not search the city for months would all the items despawn?

no. emperorgasm has been leaving his items there for a while to test.
OK, no one has tested "months", but no, they aren't meant to despawn. Ched says don't bother searching too often as they just stay there and you can go have a search once a month if you like instead of weekly or daily.
the main city search thread has info on this already, might be better to use that rather than starting a new thread.

no, sorry didn't mean it that way, just thought you'd be better served with the bigger thread that holds more "answers" for ya. it is rather big now to be fair.
You rather find a dumbell sooner rather than later.
OK, today was the first time to ever search the city since the RESPO update has been released. I found 3 items. 2 First Aid Kits and a Camel plushie. I have my awareness updated to level 3 (merits).

I have been testing 'months', I have items on my map that I have not picked up since the beginning of the city map, still no despawns. Items only appear to be increasing in amount, the rate of spawning does not seem to be affected by the number currently on the map either.
