Starting an Ebola thread, since no one else has posted anything yet.
Here's a brief overview, according to the World Health Organization (WHO)

According to the Centers for disease control (CDC), on September 30, 2014, the first laboratory-confirmed case of Ebola to be diagnosed in the United States in a person who had traveled to Dallas, Texas from West Africa. He died 8 days later and was cremated.

A nurse, Amber Vinson, who tended to the first Ebola victim has now reportedly contracted the disease. For some odd reason, she was allowed to fly a commercial flight, possibly infecting more people.
Adding to the confusion is conflicting statements from the CDC, and the White House. One would also question the wisdom behind allowing flights to continue to the United States from West Africa.
