Future Vision

What do you think the world will be like in the future?

Technology and Science will continue to grow, the idea of national borders will begin to perish and a one world government consisting of several members from all countries of the world, the average lifespan will increase tremendously, religion will be a thing of the past and we'd have exoplanetary colonies. I'm excited about space travel and developments in Biology in general, which I'm sure will be seeing tremendous growth, as it is right now. Perhaps I'm just a fool in imagining a world being such a utopia, or perhaps humans will have destroyed themselves through wars and stupidity.

Well I think that there will be a dozen gadgets. Such as Teleportals, Time machines. In the future it will be common to visit other planets. Hope to see a Universal Academy of Education, Junyem, Jupiter :P. Then there will be Designer Babies. The doctor will ask "What kind of baby do you want"!

All the good people will live in heaven and the bad people will be burned underground somewhere for eternity by the god that loves them. Duhhh! XD

Eventually we are going to destroy the enviroment so much that the planet cant sustain us anymore and it will get so bad that it will screw our economies and even living in a rich country will be like living in a african/middle eastern hell hole now.

Yeah due to the current deforestation rate, there will be no vegetation left within the next few centuries. Plus it would also lead to the extinction of bird, tree-dwelling animals and grazing animals. And then, when there are no grazing animals, the carnivores will starve to death too. We should get serious about this....

I recently heard that NASA is going to send a couple of missions to the space station to get it set up for commercial 'space plane' use.

What I see is a new frontier that humans will exploit, as usual. I have no problem with that.

There is water out there, we will be needing that. Before I die (born in the 60's) I believe I'll see prospectors out there in space looking for that gold like the 49ers (GO 9ERS!) did in the gold rush.

Our expansion as a Galactic Empire will be unstoppable.

There might be an underwater settlement plan.... nobody knows what will happen.

we spend a LOT of our gdp on our military. america spends a vast amount on its miltary every year as do most of the rich european countries.

mars colonies will only happen if we reduce military spending.

It would take much expense. During the apollo program they had between 100000-400000 staff working on it at various points and they where spending double/triple/quadruple of the % of their GDP on NASA than they are spending on it at the moment.

A lot of gearing up and expansion of NASA would probably be required to get anywhere fast with colonies.

Well apart form this, I am very curious about the life on Mars or aliens. The Mars rovers haven't found anything yet but still there is a little hope of finding something live.

The economic phase of World World 3 has begun, and soon the global military phase will begin. Electronics will no longer work, and we'll start over in a sense. We'll still have our text-books, so the knowledge won't be lost. Mankind will be looking for a savior. Without exception, every world leader has failed to bring world peace. The result of our efforts is global nuclear war, and this cannot be avoided unless our leaders make only...ONLY correct decisions.

When the bombs drop, our most immediate concerns will be clean water, uncontaminated food, shelter from radiation fallout dust, disease and plague...

Despite the FACT that all disease is preventable, doctors prescribe treatments for symptoms rather than root causes. Despite the fact that we as a planet can only survive by following rules/guidelines pertaining to health and lifestyle, mentors continue to promote "whatever is done between two consenting adults" mumbo jumbo, and by this belief system we are all dying.

The world leaders after the bombs drop will be looking for either leaders with perfect moral character, or advisers who have perfect moral character. These people do exist today, but they are few in number. These people consider every possible choice and only choose the option that poses absolutely no risk of harm, now or to future generations, to themselves, others, any life form, the environment, or the atmosphere.

Those people are those who live by The Peaceful Solution

Well let's just hope that doesn't happen. You are right by the way, about our leaders making wrong decisiond and about those people whom the leaders would be looking for..
All of us are aware of the consequences that are caused by atomic bomb explosions as we remember what happened in Nagasaki and Hiroshima during World War 2.
