Right this getting alarmingly concerning the oil rig company that I run as dropped drastically in popularity from 90% to 55% and net income from 40m+ to just 25m now. This trend has been happening now for the past week.

I have reduced prices and increased advertising budget but the slump keeps getting worse..

I want to know if anyone had been or still are in this situation. If so, what did you guys do to rectify this matter cos I have tried everything.

My Fitness Center has its highest popularity ever at the moment. My bet is on inactive employees who are not 5 star.

My experience also shows advertising does nothing, so set the advertising budget to 0 and get rid of any marketers and see what that does.

Apparently drugs effect oil rig staff drastically, send a circ asking all drug taking staff to rehab.

Check activity on all staff.

If one of your staff in production is slacking in some way you may not be producing enough barrels check your production to see where the problm may lie.

Once you have done this give us a shout if nothing changes iover the next week

Drugs affect everyone drastically. They're just more prominent in rigs because the workers are generally much much closer to the extremely high stat cap or are slightly underneath it.

The higher on the cap you are the more drugs you'd be able to take before having a more negative effect. Drugs still = very bad, but they're even worse relatively when players with 'low' stats use them (again, 'low' here being relative to the position they are working... due to drugs giving a passive reduction to work stats)

Also, one thing to bear in mind... popularity isn't a factor in profit... it's a comparative stat to how well you're performing relative to the top company. My popularity has been down this week (Even though my profits are currently going up) just because the rig in the #1 spot has profits that are increasing faster than mine, so relative to them I am not performing as well (hence lower popularity).

Another thing to note with rigs is that not all positions are independent of each other (bug?), if your salesmen are inactive then for whatever reason your oil production will decline, and also if your producers are inactive then sales go down. All employees need to be continuously active for the others to perform at their best. (It's not as bad as it was in the old system where it used to be damn near 100% losses due to single inactives, but I have noticed production/profit losses near 5-10% when a single employee is inactive, even in areas that shouldn't relate to them)
Also... NET income 40m+ WITH advertising? Do you mean gross? As not even I get 40m net profit daily with the best 18 man rig, paying 0 on advertising, did you even pay your employees?

advert. affects the companies sales , it's fact Bogie esp. in Rigs , i once hit 64 mil./day and my popularity was 100% with 21 members.

but loyalty 's important too , old member can get 400~900k more than new one sometimes higher despite being inactive that was apparent when i first bought the company and fired most of old ones bec. of inactivity .

Ur Rig must also produce enough Oil Barrels equal to ur sales.

Yeah but you're paying 15m+ for that advertising, something I know for a fact, whereas I'm paying none for a higher net profiti (As I said in my other post, who gives a shit about leaderboard rankings when profit is what matters)... Did that raise profits by that much? As you said too... if you can't produce oil to match then there's especially no point, just balance it in a way to slowly use up remaining stock at no cost...

perhaps Bogie holds the CNC BB which gives boost to Rigs profits , i also found educational course that boosts profits which i missed , once done my profits will be top among others^^
Maruto [1634194]

I don 't think i got any from bogie but it 's fact i used to pay higher salaries than other Rigs , what I cared for was the stability of the company rather than profits , but i admit bogie 's right in the sense that Rigs and TVs costs billions and we need return profits from them or they become useless , i changed my way of thinking a bit to follow other directors example after many billions got drained in Casino , today i started my last business course hoping it will help too.
bogie [148747] Admin Staff

No, but you f**k over every single rig owner at once by trying to beat pay, and yourself... For what? Disloyal workers who take all your profit then leave a few weeks later for the next fool? The argument that what you do promotes stability is entirely the opposite of what you are actually achieving

this is why I never hire from other rigs, even if they mail me... Is bad for both directors
